- Marty ..Ballina, Australia3,215 contributionsAt this local Cebu City shopping centre .. I really like sitting outside TGI Friday restaurants & enjoying a cocktail , whilst watching the work go bye .. before starting my shopping ( if needed )
Ayala Centre is a large multi floor complex with plenty of shops & restaurants .. including the large Metro department store
There are two Ayala shopping centres in Cebu City .. the other shopping complex is Ayala Malls Block in IT ParkWritten 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bryan COakville, Canada133 contributionsLocated in the subdivision of Beverly Hills in Cebu City is the Philippine Taoist Temple. It is a place of worship that allows visitors to enter and enjoy the beautiful surrondings and sense of peace that fills the area. Photos of the buildings and various structures are permitted. However, photos are Not permitted inside the places of worship as a matter of respect for those who may be engaged in prayer. The design and artistry employed throughout the grounds is beautiful and if you are seeking a place to find solace, perhaps discernment, or just a quiet place to take in the scenery or see something different, the Taoist Temple is worth visiting. Parking is available at the foot of the grounds, and the entrance fee was only twenty pesos. We were there for just under an hour and were glad to have spent our time there.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - irenevffDasmarinas City, Philippines5,587 contributionsif you plan to achieve that 10,000 steps in a jiffy, this SM mall is the place. you'll lose a lot of calories just by a single round of roaming the elliptical path showcasing different stores and services.
this mall also boasts of a view that could readily take your breath away. couples can just loiter at the stairs and watch the sun set at the sea view wing. no argument cannot be resolved by the panorama up front. a little to the left if the new majestic bridge that connects two cities in a matter of minutes.
just wait til dusk and this mall becomes a show of lights. amazing!Written 23 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great place to start sightseeing of area.
Didnāt do any research previously, but was fascinated by the size and the characters depicted. They look like bad ass Warriors and I was the only one there . Only about 5 minutes to look at and then make your way to Yap house!Written 23 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roy JLiloan, Philippines82 contributionsA nice casino in a lovely hotel in Cebu City. Drinks and snacks are avaiable from the girls walking round. I'm not a gambler. - Marty ..Ballina, Australia3,215 contributions24/7 Fuente OsmeƱa Circle is busy .. mostly with road traffic
Fuente OsmeƱa Circle .. is a large street roundabout , with a fenced park , in the centre
The treed park , with a monument , is used a lot for celebrations & by local school students to practice dance routinesWritten 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hotels and malls begin to play festival music, singers captivate audiences in the malls, especially at Ayala Mall.
On the morning of the parade, follow the crowds walking to the parade. Get to the parade early to find an open spot to watch and take pictures. As the day progresses the crowds get larger and more difficult to find a place to see the parade.
The Philippines has some of the nicest people, someone walking with their family was nice enough to point me in the right direction and explained the route and they were nice to let me walk with them. Unfortunately I had to stop to adjust my camera bag but the directions were easy to remember.
The one thing that people noticed was that I was at the event by myself. Several people asked me about it because most Americans are either in the Philippines for business or to visit a Filipina. I simply explained that I was on vacation to see the parade.
It was difficult for me but I made the best of the trip. Online scams are nothing new but one that I was not expecting was that I met a Filipina online who lives near Manila. After chatting for some time we made arrangements for me to visit her. After I made the expense to travel to the Philippines, get accommodations, and pay for the girls travel from Manila to Boracay and Cebu, she did bot meet me at all. She assured me of going and that she was interested. Right up to waiting for the flight, she never said that she wasn't going.
I discovered later that this deceptive tactic is used by some Filipinas on various Islands.
They caused financial loss through deception. I did write to file a complaint but travel to the Philippines is not cheap. And paying for airplane tickets for a person is a significant extra cost.
I made the best of my trip since the cost was nonrefundable but it's important to alert others of this type of scam.
The people of the Philippines are super wonderful and nice, there will always be some "bad apples" that cause negative views to their own people and country. It is not the norm but definitely a concern because a person will not realize of the deceptions until they have made the expense of traveling to the Philippines.Written 14 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
