Visited as part of a private city tour. Very interesting tour with a guide who knew her stuff (and spoke impeccable English). Fascinating glimpse into Spanish/Filipino life from the last couple of centuries. It was also good to bring to life several stories I have heard about such life from my visits to the Philippines over the last 35 x years.

At this local Cebu City shopping centre .. I really like sitting outside TGI Friday restaurants & enjoying a cocktail , whilst watching the work go bye .. before starting my shopping ( if needed )

Ayala Centre is a large multi floor complex with plenty of shops & restaurants .. including the large Metro department store

There are two Ayala shopping centres in Cebu City .. the other shopping complex is Ayala Malls Block in IT Park

This park is best for people who have kids. The kids could have fun looking at animals. The food is also very nice to feast on. Overall I think this place is a really good park you visit

if you plan to achieve that 10,000 steps in a jiffy, this SM mall is the place. you'll lose a lot of calories just by a single round of roaming the elliptical path showcasing different stores and services.

this mall also boasts of a view that could readily take your breath away. couples can just loiter at the stairs and watch the sun set at the sea view wing. no argument cannot be resolved by the panorama up front. a little to the left if the new majestic bridge that connects two cities in a matter of minutes.

just wait til dusk and this mall becomes a show of lights. amazing!

Apparently, this is the oldest Chinese house in Cebu and I was told “most is original”.

I am sceptical, the floorboards like more like 35 years old not 350 and nails were not around in the 1670s. The owners, I mam told, stay at weekends, but hard to see quite where since their bedroom looked very unoccupied.

One uncomfortable moment was in the garden where there is a harpist, who for a few peso, will play a little, at which three young children- aged between 4-7, dressed in traditional dress wake up (or are woken) from dozing in a nearby room and rush to perform a series of whirls and swirls. They don’t look happy and I felt this bordered on child abuse.

The harpist told me these were his children, so does this make it ok?

One of the better museums that we have visited. Lots of artifacts and clear historical narratives. Great organization of the timeline and facts. Feels very good to be there and have a glance on what the past Cebu looks like. A must visit for history enthusiasts. I wish they had more space for more artifacts though. Overall, it was a great learning experience.

The mall features plenty of restaurants and food options on the first and fourth floor. Most of shopping is done in the department store but there are limited brand names here. Definitely worth the visit if you’re staying near the port though.

We were surprised this house is located in an old warehouse but don’t let this fool you. Inside you find a nice house with a lot of information about the area, historic Cebu and the history of the family that once lived here.
We had a well informed and enthusiastic tour guide who explained everything very well.
    Worth a visit!

Wonderful Cathedral with a rich history to it, superb architecture throughout the cathedral, probably one of best maintained churches that I visited while in Philippines.

A nice casino in a lovely hotel in Cebu City. Drinks and snacks are avaiable from the girls walking round. I'm not a gambler. It was just a curiosity visit and to try my luck on the fruit machines and roulette table.

We went here frequently as a kid. I had lots of memories playing in the HUGE Play Area; Play Maze. I could spend the whole day inside. Endless entertainment for children. It has a HUGE slide, ball pits, mazes, foam guns and so much more. It is so colorful that your child will surely make core memories inside.

The other thing I like about the mall is their pet friendliness. Every summer I visit this mall because they have pet exhibits, like I did today. But this year it felt kinda small. There were all kinds of animals for sale, from animals you see everyday to exotic ones. I love seeing dogs in all types of clothing and etc.

There was a huge trampoline park in here. It was called Extreme Aeropark. Probably the biggest one I saw in Cebu. I was gonna pay it a visit but found out it closed during the pandemic. It was so sad, it was so good.

Parkmall is easily in one of my top 3 malls in cebu for these reasons. I hope they never close down. I LOVE PARKMALL

you would have not thought it was a solemn place from afar had it not been for the huge Cross on its facade. there was no dome nor a spire - just slabs of concrete positioned like domino pieces beside and in front of each other, with varying heights and widths. i appreciate the contemporary modern design.

i have observed that the pews inside the chapel are aligned evenly like they follow the equal spaces in between the walls. i was told the chapel is centrally airconditioned. would have been lovely if my husband and i would renew our vows in this Church - peaceful, quiet & serene.

since this sits within the SM seaside complex, i'm assuming the lot is owned or donated by the Sy family.
