Visited as part of a private city tour. Very interesting tour with a guide who knew her stuff (and spoke impeccable English). Fascinating glimpse into Spanish/Filipino life from the last couple of centuries. It was also good to bring to life several stories I have heard about such life from my visits to the Philippines over the last 35 x years.

At this local Cebu City shopping centre .. I really like sitting outside TGI Friday restaurants & enjoying a cocktail , whilst watching the work go bye .. before starting my shopping ( if needed )

Ayala Centre is a large multi floor complex with plenty of shops & restaurants .. including the large Metro department store

There are two Ayala shopping centres in Cebu City .. the other shopping complex is Ayala Malls Block in IT Park

Easy bus ride from Cebu City. Fantastic views, very romantic at night. Restaurant was good but not spectacular but you can't beat the atmosphere. Overall a great place to visit.

Located in the subdivision of Beverly Hills in Cebu City is the Philippine Taoist Temple. It is a place of worship that allows visitors to enter and enjoy the beautiful surrondings and sense of peace that fills the area. Photos of the buildings and various structures are permitted. However, photos are Not permitted inside the places of worship as a matter of respect for those who may be engaged in prayer. The design and artistry employed throughout the grounds is beautiful and if you are seeking a place to find solace, perhaps discernment, or just a quiet place to take in the scenery or see something different, the Taoist Temple is worth visiting. Parking is available at the foot of the grounds, and the entrance fee was only twenty pesos. We were there for just under an hour and were glad to have spent our time there.

Fort San Pedro is worth visiting while in Cebu. The fort is small so it does not take a whole lot of time, I'd say 30 minutes to an hour max. The entrance was cheap, although now I can't recall how much it was. Once inside, you are free to explore the grounds. There are a few information signs worth reading. You can also walk the walls on the upper level. Overall, I'd say Fort San Pedro is worth a visit.

The cross is cool but no more than a few minutes are needed. There are questions if this is the original cross or of the original is encased inside this one but it is still cool to visit. Lots of other sites to see in the area. It is near pier one so have a look if in the area.

Beautiful flower garden but not much accesible that we rented out a taxi just to go there as they refused to drop you. Entrance of 60 and instagrammable sceneries will not fail you.

This park is best for people who have kids. The kids could have fun looking at animals. The food is also very nice to feast on. Overall I think this place is a really good park you visit

The Temple of Leah has a nice history, a true love story. I found the building to be very beautiful as were all the belongings and artifacts. The overlook had some really nice views as well. I'd say this is a great place to visit if you touring other nearby sites, otherwise it is not really worth going out of your way for.

Apparently, this is the oldest Chinese house in Cebu and I was told “most is original”.

I am sceptical, the floorboards like more like 35 years old not 350 and nails were not around in the 1670s. The owners, I mam told, stay at weekends, but hard to see quite where since their bedroom looked very unoccupied.

One uncomfortable moment was in the garden where there is a harpist, who for a few peso, will play a little, at which three young children- aged between 4-7, dressed in traditional dress wake up (or are woken) from dozing in a nearby room and rush to perform a series of whirls and swirls. They don’t look happy and I felt this bordered on child abuse.

The harpist told me these were his children, so does this make it ok?

Great for kids. We love the pool. Though it's a bit pricey. I highly recommend to call their office first to ask for their rates because it's subject to change anytime.

you would have not thought it was a solemn place from afar had it not been for the huge Cross on its facade. there was no dome nor a spire - just slabs of concrete positioned like domino pieces beside and in front of each other, with varying heights and widths. i appreciate the contemporary modern design.

i have observed that the pews inside the chapel are aligned evenly like they follow the equal spaces in between the walls. i was told the chapel is centrally airconditioned. would have been lovely if my husband and i would renew our vows in this Church - peaceful, quiet & serene.

since this sits within the SM seaside complex, i'm assuming the lot is owned or donated by the Sy family.

Plants, flowers, shrubs and trees are planted along terraces. There are stairs that go around the garden.

I walked horizontally, walking along the terraces and surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants on both sides.

Entrance fee is 80 pesos per person, with 20 pesos redeemable at the Cafeteria ( water or drinks).
