What travellers are saying
- Ailton007Seattle, WA796 contributionsApparently one of the best in China and I can see why. Big enclosures, rare animals and lots of information on species and history. We spent most time with the koalas, pandas and tigers and spent nearly 6 hours there. Longest I've ever stayed in a zoo. Easy to get to by Didi. Only annoying thing was loud music (very Chinese and they promote merchandise everywhere) which must be somewhat disturbing also to the animals. Nite we were there during CNY so that was maybe the reason. All in all, great experience and worth the 350RMB price tagWritten 15 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Anh T47 contributionsCanton Tower lights up at night. There's plenty to do around the area, especially the Guangzhou library (which is massive).Written 14 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JacksonGuangzhou, China12 contributionsUnforgetable experience! Marvernous local architecture art. The decorations are beautiful. Definitely worth visiting! Travelling in Guangzhou is not so difficult except for some language problems until recently the GZ government has had an interpretation hotline(+8620960169), which can provide great service for public affairs and government services. I used several times taking taxi and asking for directions, the interpreters are quite professional.Written 26 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EtaTandelaJakarta, Indonesia311 contributionsYou have to watch this show if you have the time and budget. It's quite expensive but worth it
You can watch improvised circus that i think China always the best and pioneer. There's a shuttle bus to go to this show from the zoo because it's quite far.just follow the crowdWritten 28 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Stephen C1,070 contributionsThis place is not too far away from downturn, about 30 minutes by car.
It's a good place to visit for a hike. They have different trails. At the top, you can get a good view of the Guangzhou city.
Some call this place the lung of GZ, where you can get good fresh air.Written 27 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Daniel LLaguna Niguel, CA217 contributionsWe came to Chimelong as a secondary option after the kids were off for Chinese New year holiday. This was a great choice because majority of people were heading home for CNY which meant the park was fairly empty. None of the rides too more than 15 minutes to board, and the restaurants all had open seats. We came with young kids, so we didn't experience the rollercoasters because there is a 1.4 meter minimum requirement on majority of the more thrilling coasters. However, the rides we went on were entertaining and the kids enjoyed them.
My biggest complaint would be on the food options. As vegetarians, it was virtually impossible to find a suitable meal for the family. The lack of choices meant we had to improvise, but I believe all restaurants on site should have at least one or two options for families with dietary restriction.Written 18 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Stephen C1,070 contributionsLocated about 8km away from downtown is the Shamian island. This place is a cluster of colonial buildings and the area served as a cluster for embassies and also a maritime in the early 1900s.
It is now converted into an artsy place with cafes and bistros. Photo buffs will visit, and newly weds come to have their bridal photos taken.Written 27 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - EtaTandelaJakarta, Indonesia311 contributionsIt's a very large square, there's a mall with lots of restaurants, better visit at night. You can see beautiful skyscrapers with beautiful lights
It's also the great spot to see Canton TowerWritten 28 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Greg HStrathmore, Canada8 contributionsThere are lots of "foreigner friendly" restaurants and bars in the area. Take a walk down the long pedestrian mall or along the Pear River. You can also get a ferry or tour boat here.Written 27 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elizabeth5 contributionsThis is a place to come if you like porcelain, history, and archaeology, which I do. The artifacts were beautifully displayed and meaningful. There were much-appreciated English captions on all the artifacts, although I wish some had included deeper explanations: for example, how did the dew-collecting cup work, and how did they figure out what it was?
My children, 11 and 13, were less enthused, since they would rather play with their phones than learn something, but I think it was good for them. They most liked the interactive digital screens, the jewelry and the swords.Written 30 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Victor HShanghai, China283 contributionsA very convenient and easy way to travel in Guangzhou. The interconnections are easy to make. Ventilation was good. One of the best Metro network in China.Written 9 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PushExploreSingapore, Singapore4,794 contributionsThe Pearl River is famous in Guangzhou and quite neat and clean. The sights along the river at night look amazing. A nice place to walk around along the path.Written 18 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marc CQuezon City, Philippines90 contributionsWe like Onelink as it is easy to go around. The more you buy, the cheaper the products will be. It is not advisable to just buy one because the cost is just almost similar with regular stores. If you would like to go shopping in numbers, this place is worth a visit.Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LadureeFanRichmond, VA931 contributionsQuiet, many people praying, service being held while we were there, laughing Buddha is right as you walk in -- we missed it initially. Free hot herbal tea.
In the Hall of Mahavira, the main hall of the temple, there are three large golden Buddha with offerings in front of them --- we understood the oranges and apples but the coke products on either side didn't make much sense to us! LolWritten 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Stephen C1,070 contributionsLocated in downtown, very near to the Canton Tower. It has an interesting architecture, shaped almost like the Esplanade theater in Singapore. A place for the arts and culture.Written 27 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
