Every day attraction at Suria shopping mall or Petronas twin towers. Music, lights show and water 💦. Still a lot of audience every day

The most interesting cotton fabrics I found this year were from the bargain counters of the great Jakel Mall. If you are satisfied with polyester there are several Indian shops selling colourfull saris which could also be used as curtains or other home decoration. A street food market was selling all kinds of local delights but the permanent stalls at the covered bazaar near the subway station were reduced.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to see and learn about this relocated village headman’s residence. Surrounded by skyscrapers, this is a fascinating glimpse into the past and a calming escape. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience! Highly recommended.

Nice variety of local food with good taste. Very spicy food, nice coconut juices and thai teas. Food is prepared really quickly. Very noisy atmosphere.

Good prices for garments and textile products. Quite a number of restaurants around too if you are hungry / thirsty. Jalan TAR (as it is affectionately known by locals) can get quite crowded in the run up to local festivals such as Hari Raya (Muslim Eid) and Deepavali (Hindu celebration). Roads around here can get quite jammed, so it is best to use public transport to get here.

One of the most iconic highlights in KL. Visited River of Life after our visit to Jamek Masjid. Short walk crossing many restaurants and cafes. Don’t miss mango juice.

Not really sure if we came here at the wrong time of the day or has Covid left a big mark here. We did not see any of the buzz which had been posted. It’s currently quite deserted, with a few stalls selling this and that. Still it’s probably worth to plan a visit because of central market which is just beside.

The theatre was still closed but it was good to just go and have a look at the building and appreciate it's design and appearance.

The Former or Old High Court Building is one of the many heritage buildings that you can find in the Merdeka Square area in KL. It is located near the to the City Theatre-Panggung Bandaraya building which is actually the Sultan Abdul Samad building in front of Dataran Merdeka. The Gombak River runs nearby and this Old High Court Building was designed by A.B. Hubback, the British architect who designed most of the heritage buildings in Malaysia with Moorish (Mughul) inspired architecture. It was started its construction in 1912 and completed in 1915. Due to the major fire in 1992, the building had to be rebuilt.
The High Courts in Malaysia are the third-highest courts in the hierarchy of courts, after the Federal Court and the Court of Appeal. The Court in Malaya has its principal registry in Kuala Lumpur, with other registries to be found in all states in peninsular Malaysia.
It is painted with white colour and it has bronze dooms at the top. A distinctive feature of the High Court Building are the towers topped with cupolas with decorative buttresses at the bases. The towers were originally dining chambers with private tiffin rooms. it first housed the High Court and Supreme Court.
Few years ago, there was a plan to convert this building into a gallery but now it seems that the plan has been abandoned. If you wish to come to Sri Lanka, I (top-10 contributor) can help you if you inform me through the message box, found in the pop up got by clicking my profile photo or my name in this review.
They shifted the high court building to the new one in Jalan Duta. When they moved out, it was occupied by the Sessions and Magistrates Court but it is still referred to as the High Court Building until today. It has since been taken over by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

I stayed at the Equatorial KL for one night during my family trip to KL. I was looking for a hotel that was close to the city center, had a modern and elegant design, and offered a great value for money , whilst has in house EV charger at good rate. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a 2 queen-sized bed, a sofa, a desk, and a large window overlooking the KL Tower. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with fresh towels and toiletries. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, pastries, fruits, juices, and coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist me with any requests or questions. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and amenities, and it offers a great value for money. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Kuala Lumpur.
