- Miles DavisNorwich, UK69 contributionsWent in August 2024 with two kids. Overall very good for adults but less so for children. Museum isn’t very interactive but the displays are well presented and I personally had a very good experience. The MRT is directly outside and then try ticket is very cheap. You can visit in two hours and then if you desire go on it the surrounding sights, for example the botanic garden or national mosque.Written 8 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan LBunbury, Australia8,538 contributionsInteresting small museum housed in Tun Abdul Razak's former residence. Very well maintained with small fountain in the gardens, furnished rooms throughout the residence with informative signage in Malayan and English. Other buildings house a great collection of associated artefacts and items of political significance.Written 5 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jet571432Altrincham, UK5 contributionsWe had visited a family grave at Kwong Tong cemetery and after realised it was very close to the grave of Yap Ah Loy one of the founding leaders of Kuala Lumpur. As a result we visited the Sun Sze Si Ya Temple which he helped establish. We noticed a sign for the museum and duly attended. It is small but very well curated and had lots of very interesting old photos, documents and displays. Terrific exhibition showing 5 big panorama landscapes of KL from when it was just a few thatched houses to the massive modern skyscrapers skyline. Then we wandered round Petaling street snacking on street food. RecommendedWritten 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heli PHelsinki, Finland7,461 contributionsPart of the governement subsidied Craft Complex now in the middle of a huge construction site the museum is waiting for a new display in February. Judging from the previous it isn't much to expect, this is a very oldfashioned establishment. There is a textile museum at the corner of Merdeka square in central KL showing more of the local craft techniques.Written 21 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, if you are in the area it is probably worth a short visit, just don't expect too much.
