We had the best day on this tour it is definitely worth doing. After spending an hour at the Batu Caves we went to a local batic scarfs where we saw them painting and had a go at it.

The elephants were amazing and we even stopped at a local stop along the way to try some tea and coffee the way the locals have it.

After feeding the monkeys we then went for a lovely seafood dinner and finished the night with the fireflies which was a surreal and beautiful experience. It was so peaceful on the water and the bushes were lit up like Christmas trees.

The trip was well organised and with a good variety of activities. We enjoyed it. The last stage of the journey to the resort is by river in a motorised canoe, arriving at a large and very comfortable resort lodge at the main entry to the National Park. Accommodation is in individual two person cabins with air conditioners and western style toilets and nicely finished in timber and woven rattan with a rustic appearance but very comfortable. This is not bush camping. Meals are mostly included and are in the open air restaurant where snacks and drinks can also be purchased at reasonable prices. The food is good and includes Malay, Indian and Western dishes. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Supplies like insect repellant can be bought in the Mini-Mart. The night walk was the best opportunity to see wildlife and many people come to the resort just for this walk - although most of our sightings were just in and around the resort and included close encounters with monkeys, a wild boar and many smaller creatures. The instructions for the trip do need updating. Most of the canopy walk has re-opened in the last month (Nov 2019) after a year out of operation and operates six days a week (not Fridays), although it closes for safety during rain or storms. The canopy walk is quite adventurous - a narrow suspension footbridge suspended 50 m up in the canopy. We took presents for the visit to the Orang Asli village as suggested, but nobody else did and since there are many more visitors each day than there are villagers it really would not be a good idea for everybody to take presents of biscuits etc. It would be much better if the resort were to organise a fund to assist with the children's educational expenses and seek donations. Lastly, best to ignore the suggestion to take a fishing rod. We went to some trouble to obtain and take one, only to find that there was very little opportunity for fishing and it caused some embarassment with the Malay staff who culturally find it difficult to say "no." It took four days of questions to finally establish that fishing is not allowed on Fridays, it is not allowed on rivers within the National Park and there is not really any easy access for fishing on the main river, Sungei Temberling, unless you hire a boat. There are fish in the main river which the locals catch with nets so if you are keen you might have success - but this is not a fishing trip.

We had excellent pre-arrival communication and driver Herry was
at our hotel at 7am for pick up. He was pleasant, safe driver and very responsive to our needs.
Prepare for a long day. About 3 hours drive each way plus more if traffic is bad. First quick stop was the waterfall. Nice but not super impressive. Then our driver suggested we spend RM10 on snacks for the kids in a local indigenous village. This was a great stop and the kids were super appreciative.
Cameron valley tea stop was busy but worth it. Purchase a ticket for the transport down into the valley. Good photos and nice to sit and have a cup of tea there.
Next stop was lunch in the main town. Then we hit major traffic issues and were stuck so we abandoned going any further and headed back to KL. We stopped at a strawberry and bee farm on the way. It wasn’t great.
So the summary is that we spent a lot of time in the car ( about 7 hours) and the driver was great but there’s just not really enough to see and do on this tour to make it worth the very long drive.

A very hot day but worth it. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of traveling but great sites. The food was excellent even for fussy teens. The fire flies were simply beautiful.

We went to this tour on Sunday, 5th January 2020. Truthfully, we were not sure if the tour is possible, because we booked this trip the day before and after opening hours. We were surprised and happy to get a message with a confirmation and our pick-up time at the hotel. Our adventure could start.

Our driver, Razuan, was wonderful! He picked us up very early in the morning and we visited all the places as the tour prospected. Without rush. We could take our time as long as we needed.
During the trip we had a lot of questions and Razuan was very helpful to answer everything. He even showed us stuff outside from the tour. For example: we visited a village of nomads where they showed us how to use a bamboo pipe. It was amazing!
As for lunch we could decide which food we prefered and at what time we wanted to eat.

Now something which we didn't expect: the description promoted, that all entrance fees are included in the price. Which means the Batu Caves, Waterfall, Strawberry Farm, Butterfly Farm and Cameron Highlands, but actually there were no entrance fees at most of the stops. Only at the Butterfly Farm (10 MYR) and the Cameron Highlands - tea plantage - has been an entrance fee for 3 MYR (by foot) and 12 MYR for a shuttle buggy - which you have to pay yourself. So to sum it up, you mainly pay for the transfer, nevertheless we would recommend the tour.

I am so glad we had Ganesh as our tour guide. I feel he went above and beyond and provided us with an amazing experience. We visited a batik, local restaurant, chocolate store, hot springs, waterfall, and the caves. I would highly recommend this tour with him.

Nickki was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and spoke really good English so communication wasn’t a problem. He’s took us round the Putrajaya lake and included some really cool sites such as the iron mosque and the prime ministers office. Mixture of paths and ramps so we felt really safe throughout and he took loads of pictures and videos of us while we rode along and in front of the main sites. Overall would definitely recommend Nickki and the ecotour!

LG was an amazing tour guide! Hotel pick-up is super convenient and any queation our group had, he could answer. Also took us to unplanned landmarks and made the whole experience unforgettable. Can recommend this trip to anyone visiting KL for the first time who also doesn't have a lot of time available to see everything.

Had a really great trip with LG. The fireflies were the highlight of the trip but LG took us on a tour of a Hindu temple, sunset over the straits of Malacca with a lighthouse and monkeys on the way there and on the way back we saw where Kuala Lumpur was founded. LG was a great guide, informative but always interesting telling us about the places we were visiting and also pointing out points of interest along the way. We were also in a comfortable air conditioned car. I cannot recommend this trip with LG too highly.
