- KiwiKerry53Wellington, New Zealand5,067 contributionsLike many other big cities, there is a tower (or in this case 2) that showcases the cities wonderful views and Petronas Twin Towers was no exception.
I advise you to book your visit before you leave home. We went to buy tickets on the Tuesday, but they were sold out and wew were unable to purchase ticket for the Wednesday and Thursday - you had to turn up and hope you would be lucky enough. We therefore booked tickets for thee Friday - and on the Friday the ticket price nearly doubled, it was pretty annoying.
The BONUS - we happened to be there the afternoon of the 25th anniversary of the towers and as we entered the gift shop at the end of our visit we were treated to a celebration ceremony and cultural performance which was amazing, we were so lucky! The towers are spectacular and it's hard to believe they are that old. From all around the city they standout beautifully.Written 30 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hans J2 contributionsThe KLCC Park is very nice for jogging, we go at the morning and feel very clam, after exercise there's many restaurants open for breakfast, very relaxing. You can go by MRT, very easy to access, highly recommended if you like morning exercise.Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Didi12 contributionsThis is quite a big park, & there are lots of birds to see. There's also a show/presentation, & that wasn't as good to see. However, right next to the stage, there's a big area for great pics with a waterfall and rocks & whatnot, which was great to visit (probably the best part of the whole park).Written 2 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matthew JWarrington, UK400 contributionsWe used this pedestrian walkway frequently to get between the Pavilion shopping centre and KLCC. It's a really convenient walkway and definitely is far more efficient than walking round outside. Before you get to KLCC, there is a convention centre you pass through where you can grab a Starbucks Coffee or nip the toilet. You also don't feel like you're walking for miles along the walkway making it an ideal way of getting between these two places. And because it's not a form of public transport, you avoid the any kind of train or bus fare.
The only thing to point out is that the "air-conditioning" (if there was any) wasn't particularly strong. It was still cooler than the outside but clearly insufficient to mitigate the exorbitant Malaysian temperatures!
Overall, I would highly recommend using this pedestrian walkway.Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had low expectations for this place because of the word ‘art’ (I’m sorry, it’s just not my thing). HOWEVER, this is definitely not an art museum, but more so about the history of Islamic culture in Malaysia and its other predominant influences (such as China). The museum has a huge collection of weapons, outfits, furniture, paintings, and religious texts. The artefacts truly blew my mind. There was even a hookah from 1650! This is genuinely one of the best museums I’ve been too, and you only need an hour or twoWritten 22 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heli PHelsinki, Finland7,697 contributionsThe new Panda Eyes multistore dominates the sleepier stretch of this short street where most tourists will find themselves. For classier shopping there is Pavilion at the other end and many restaurants in between. The popular outdoor food court is down a lane among the budget accomodation.Written 28 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nyalpiHong Kong, China217 contributionsFirst and foremost, it is a lovely green park in the middle of a crowded city. Its existence as an urban green space is its biggest value.
A very pleasant place to walk or jog amongst greenery and get away from the concrete jungle. Some places to sit and rest in shade. Not many people despite my visit on a public holiday.
Unlike most other botanic gardens around the world, there were very few signs with information about the plants. Very few signs and maps around the gardens to show where you are and what else there is to be seen. Some of the paths and shade structures were cracked and needed some renovation, though still very functional.
Getting there on foot and public transport is possible, but requires determination because there are not many signs nor maps (not unlike many other attractions in KL).
Nevertheless, a very pleasant place to visit to get away from the concrete and commercialism and crowds of the city.Written 25 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
