You should go to take a look twin tower if you are in Malaysia. So cool design of buildings and it's photogenic too . Highly recommended.

Very pleasent park, clean and large. Plenty of seating and covered areas to relax or sit. Fantastic views on the petronas towers

The dinner we had at Ming Kee restaurant was excellent, e.g. BBQ chicken wings, Hokkien fried noodle, salty fish bean sprouts,... etc. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again.

However, a disappointing durian experience at Jalan Alor durian vendor. We asked for a Musang King durian and asked if it was "guaranteed" (i.e. a higher price per kg) to be creamy, sweet and ripe. They said they would. We are not experts in durian, but definitely can tell a ripe one from a not ripe one. We were half way through hoping the rest would be better but we noticed it was all the same. We explained what we noticed to the vendor and the vendor brought us another piece of durian in a Saran wrapped package for exchange. We declined for the exchange; because we did not know what type/grade of durian it was in the package. The durian vendor gave us a discount of MYR $37 from the total MYR $287 and insisted us to pay MYR $250. See the vendor in the photo. We will never visit this durian vendor again.

I would give 5 to Ming Kee restaurant and 1 to the durian vendor. Therefore, my overall experience at Jalan Alor was 4.

We visited Jalan Alor on December 31, 2024.

A landmark in the area, Pavilion is a mall and houses the local rail terminals. Vibrant and well-lit. Worth a visit if you are in the city.

this is a very good hang-out place if you're alone or with friends. this mall is just right beneath the petronas twin towers.

there is a lot of high-end stores here and also familiar fast-food chains. what i really liked was the kinokuniya bookstore at the third floor. had i have more time to spend, i would have stayed longer and explore more books.

suria KLCC mall has a park located at the posterior.

A fantastic collection of birds from all over the world in a series of walk-in aviaries & individual (large) aviaries. Located just outside of the city, I got there via the hop-on/hop-off bus (about 1hr from Stop #1). I paid at the gate (MYR 85.00). The Park is well set out, although set in a valley, there are easy walk paths to allow everyone to get around; a couple of the walk-in aviaries have double-door access which maybe a bit tricky in a wheel chair. Allow yourself a few hours to take it all in; I spent an enjoyable 3hrs walking among the birds.

Our favourite museum in Kuala Lumpur. A beautiful building with fascinating galleries. We particularly loved the architectural models of all the different mosques. There are also galleries dedicated to beautiful manuscripts, ceramics and weapons. A brilliant place and only 20 MYR to enter. The cafe and shop are great too.

if you want fake finds, go to KL's chinatown.

this flea market boasts of counterfeit brands that would complete your apparel - shoes, bags, wallets, luggages, shirts, watches...

i opted to buy ref magnets, KL shirts & bags.. souvenir items i could bring home.

we also dined in one of several eateries in the area. the pork rendang & sweet & sour fish partnered with fried rice over dinner was filling. top that with iced milk tea.

chinatown is a must-visit for tourists who want to bring home cheap items from malaysia.

The new Panda Eyes multistore dominates the sleepier stretch of this short street where most tourists will find themselves. For classier shopping there is Pavilion at the other end and many restaurants in between. The popular outdoor food court is down a lane among the budget accomodation.

A beautiful and diverse place with many rare fish. However, it could benefit from better organization of the tourists.
