It is an experience to go to the island by watertaxi. A lot of History, many temples, good/original food, housing. A remarkable experience

We stop by one of the resort and paid IDR 10,000 at parking place and can enjoy this beach. Ordered coconut that was around IDR25,000 each. The beach was clean and not crowded.

Stunning location away from it all. Out of season is best for peacefulness. Relaxing swim subject to weather and tide conditions.

Didn't know about this until our guide asked us if we want to go. If we reached earlier probably more impressive but it was sunset … still good for a photo

A short trip from Bintan harbor to the island. When you book a boat take 7k per passenger (one direction) about 15 person boat even if they try to sell you 200k boat. In the island other tourists would like to have photos with you, which is ok :) you can easily walk thru the island in less than two hours. Local people are very interested in you but not in a bad way. We liked most the Chinese temple and fishing villages near by.

main street has cheap street food to buy while roaming around or you can just sit and eat in a resto or have a cup of coffee, This is a place where you cannot find some souveniers that says tanjung pinang or bintan island. I found one in an ode place

In our, somewhat last minute plan, we headed out to a coastal business city of Tanjung Pinang. Our guide suggested there is a heritage 'Water Village Walk". Similar to the ones you find near Sarawalk. But this one turned out to be a bit special since the small island, off Tanjung Pinang, called Pulau Peyengat houses a royal cemetery and grand mosque built by Sultan Riuau. The place gives a glimpse of how ancient Malacca Sultanate spread in the Indo-Javanese region before the fell to Portuguese invasion in c. 1511

Beautiful place with many buddha statues, nice scenery for photo taking, worth visiting. Entrance fees Rp 5,000 per pax. The place is rather far from city, if you go by Go Car, you might want to ask the driver to wait and drive you back to city as there are limited Go Car driver nearby or alternatively you might wish to hire private driver or charter bus.

there's hypermart, matahari dept store, XXI cinema and i like J.Co coffee with free donut.

Interestingly, there's an alternative KFC which is local CFC.

Oh, there's even a MiniSo. Please do not expect too much as this is a suburban mall only.
