What travellers are saying
- rama1Melbourne, Australia1,193 contributionsThe view of the mountain are wonderful.
We took the chairlift for the 20 minute ride which was so peaceful apart from the music at a number of places.
Once up the top, it is a short walk to a monorail which looks to have come from the 19th century. Definitely unique and quirky.

Need 2 hours to complete the whole circle.Written 22 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- worldtraveller2801Chula Vista, CA640 contributionsThis park is a memorial to those who lost their lives during the Gwangju Democratic Uprising. There is a monument which contains a small underground museum. The park and monument are free. In addition to the monument, the park is quite nice with walking paths surrounded by trees. It was nice going for a walk after a long international flight and a train ride. There isn’t a metro station close to the park so I recommend either taking a taxi or a bus. Taxis are quite affordable in Gwangju. I suggest spending about an hour at the park. Restaurants and a supermarket are nearby.Written 12 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 87calGeoje, South Korea59 contributionsWalked around the park and up to the top of the observatory. Nothing amazing but a nice park to enjoy the outdoors. We parked here then walked to guitar road and over to Yangnim-dong which was a great little neighborhood with lots of good architecture and coffee shops.Written 3 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
