Our guide Nella was so very kind. Tortuga Island was absolutely amazing. It was very beautiful with plenty of activities for everyone. I rented a kayak for half an hour and just enjoyed the water. There were plenty of other activities but I just enjoyed the water and laying on the beach. My only critique for the excursion was the bus ride—particularly the bus ride back. Although out of anyone’s control, it took almost 5 hours for us to get dropped back off at our hotel. We were the last stop on the hotel drop off but being on a cold bus for 5 hours was not the most fun experience. At one point, the driver stopped on the side of a road in the city center and was having casual conversation for at least 15 minutes which as being only 2 women left by ourselves this made us uncomfortable. When we asked the driver what the hold up was, he told us to give him 5 more minutes which is not something you want to hear when you know you still have 50 minutes to get to your hotel. If it was not for the bus ride, I would have no complaints at all.

Glad we decided to go on this tour. The coffee farm & waterfalls were very cool but we especially loved that we got to see a bunch of animals. The jaguar was my favorite.
Great tour guides- Olman was a good driver. Gary knew his stuff and was cute. Highly recommend :)

Perfect day trip from San Jose.

We drove through a historical town on way to La Paz and then stopped at a local coffee farm.

We continued on to the wildlife center and then hiked through the waterfall trails. Both were excellent.

Well worth the all day trip. Angie was our tour guide and she made all the difference in the trip being a lot of fun to be honest. If it was not her , i don't think the trip would have been interesting. She was energetic/enthusiastic/funny/always smiling and ensuring all the questions of the travellers are answered and well communicative in english as well. She took the time to clearly explain the snack/lunch and dinner menus well in-advance and had us sign-up for what we wanted to eat. The places selected for eating even in the middle of rainforest areas had decent restrooms and the food was absolutely amazing in all places. Our tour guide Angie would constantly communicate as the bus is travelling to highlight the approaching spots such-as starbucks coffee farms etc.. well in-advance so that we can look at them.

The only downsides i noticed was , we were not aware that there will be lockers available at the hot-springs area and that the tour trip company should have listed that in the details and to also bring swimming clothing. That could have been helpful.

A nice excursion from San Jose. We saw beautiful birds, a sloth and a coatis, but no monkeys. The beach is stunning and the water is perfect. The guide was knowledgeable and generous, he did a great job pointing out animals during the first part of the park. We had expected the guide to join us on the second part, but we hiked alone and did not see animals. Lunch after the tour at a nearby hotel restaurant was delicious. The tour is recommend but keep your expectations of seeing animals well-managed.

More a tour + local dinner than cooking class. Our guide Angel was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about Costa Rican history. We were able to stop by a local coffee shop to taste coffee from a local plantation. The food and drinks were delicious and I recommend this tour as the first thing you do when in San Jose so you can get acquainted with the city as well as have potential tourists to connect with while visiting.

The tour with insides tour to Tortuga Island was very enjoyable. I went with 3 other people and it was an all day event. Got picked up @ 4:45 am and returned back to hotel close to 7 pm. When booking there is a pick up points you can choose from.

    Pros
    1. 5 full hours on the beach...gorgeous
    2. snorkeling is offered
    3. on the way to the island the boat stopped so we can see dolphins swimming. AMAZING!!!!
    4. Our tour guide Diana was so wonderful. She even helped my nephew when he went snorkeling.
    5. The bus they picked us up with was super NICE and clean
    6. Stop for breakfast and bathroom break and Souvenir shop
    7. On the island, the drinks are amazing. They had Mojitos, Margaritas and Pina Coladas. The cost about $8-$10.
    8. Lunch is provided and its included in the tour payment.
    9. there are banana boats and water rafting I believe, we didn't partake on this activity but you can for a cost.
    10. It was RELAXING and there are chairs with umbrellas you can rent for $10.

    Cons
    1. the place we stopped at for breakfast, the food was pretty awful. My friends and I couldn't swallow it. It cost about $10 but man. No flavor, so much salt and the option is just basic. Coffee tasted like it was a burnt coffee mixed with milk. So it was money wasted. You are better off with some protein bars and make your own coffee at the hotel before leaving. I am not sure how much influence the tour company has to have them do better and if not maybe finding another spot if possible for a breakfast option.
    2. Lunch included rice, salad, and choice of Chicken, fish, or veggies (you choose one protein) and its fillet fried. The portion is very small and by the time we got back we were starving. It tasted good but very small portion. They sell fresh Ceviche and other fresh fish snacks on the beach but very small portion for like $10 which wasn't worth it.

All in all the pros are higher than the cons and would recommend inside tours 100%. ENJOY :)

The volcano was covered in smoke but I still give this experience 10/10 the guide was so bubbly and sweet! When we got to the hot springs I was in love I didn’t want to leave we spent a good 4 hours there and it was therapeutic! The food was amazing (buffet style ) and drinks were great as well. This was probably my fav experience on the trip this far.
