It is a wonderful escape from city life and makes one appreciate nature even more, and develop a deeper respect for animals and appreciation of the dangers they are exposed to.
The Waterside Lodge at Thornybush, next to the Kruger National Park, was undoubtedly the highlight of our holidays in South Africa.

Starting with Stoffel the famous escapee Honey Badger with his energetic wife, Hannie to stroking a Bateleur then on to feeding the hungry vultures this is a truly heart warming experience for nature lovers.

A variety of courses are available or just a stroll through the park is well worth the visit.
We visited Khamai Reptile Park whilst honeymooning at the nearby Vuyani Safari Lodge and it was one of my favourite excursions.
