We hired Heine Thom to provide transport from Hoedspruit and to do two full day safaris in Kruger National Park. I can't imagine getting better service or a better team. We were met promptly at Hoedspruit airport and transported to our accommodation in the area. We unexpectedly decided to take a boat ride in Blyde Canyon the next day and Heine was so accommodating. After the boat ride, Heine and Donald (guide) picked us up at the boat dock and we proceeded to drive into Kruger National Park. When we reached the park the exciting part started as Donald and Heine took us on a 5 hour game drive. Spectacular. We saw so many animals (elephants, giraffes, buffalo, all kinds of antelope species, zebras, raptors, hippos and crocodiles). Donald and Heine were great at spotting wildlife. Heine had prepared great food and had plenty of every type of drinks one would want for breaks. A great day. We stayed in Letaba Rest Camp that night and Heine and Donald roused us for an early start (4:30 am). Heine had coffee and breakfast ready for us. That turned into a 7 hour game drive where again we saw amazing wildlife. It was baby season and we saw so many newborn babies (elephants, wildebeest, impala, a tiny baby hippo). We stopped for great food and drinks and to stretch. It was a great game drive with experienced guides. The highlight was a lioness sighting, wild dogs and hyenas. The next day we had hired Heine to transport us to another location, but his love of Kruger and game drives turned this "ride" into another 6 hour game drive. This was laignappe for those who knows what that is--a bonus gift that was very generous. I highly recommend Heine and KPS. He loves nature, game drives and Kruger. You will ask to quit before he will, as he truly loves being out there seeing nature. He knows the park, is very accommodating and kind, and just a perfect choice.
