Had a great day walking through the Botanic Garden. Lots of flowers in bloom on a bright sunny day. Wasn't too crowded. Easy parking. Restrooms were a bit hard to find and the gift kiosk there had a very limited amount of items for sale. Bring water and comfortable shoes. Overall a beautiful place to visit.

I've been here 5 times and it never gets old. I love trying the different instruments, and looking at the instruments on the wall from around the world. I've been to the Claremont Folk Music Festival twice.

This trail is not short. Make sure have good pairs of hiking shoes. Do have restrooms on the way, but dirty. It does have a nine view on the top of the hill. Traffic is not heavy, is safe.

For those worried about accessibility- if you have a wheel chair or other disability that makes climbing stairs difficult, ask an employee and they will direct you to a ramp. The museum employees are super friendly and will be happy to help.

While exploring the Claremont Historical Train Station, was advised that the Claremont Museum of Art is now housed in the old train station. Entrance fee is $5.00. The Museum is technically an art gallery vice a museum. Art is displayed in several rooms of the building. With the lifting of Corona Virus restrictions, the museum has reopened and has on display an exhibition (“Inside Out: Emerging from Isolation.”) consisting of a single piece of art produced by 28 different local artists. Exhibition runs from 02 April – 30 May 2021. Each artist was asked to submit a single piece of art that they created during the Corona Virus Pandemic period (March 2020 or later). No restrictions were placed on the artist, as to style, size, or subject of their contribution. As a result, 28 outstanding works of art are on display. On display are works of art utilizing Ceramic tile; paintings (i.e., oil, pen & ink, acrylic, and watercolors); clay and wood figures, a quilt and numerous other media were the choses of the artists. All are exceptional. The Ceramic tile, entry “Co-Vida, 2020” by Alba Cisneros is remarkable and was my favorite. Extremely colorful. Staff members are helpful and will provide information about the various pieces of art. Spent an hour looking at and admiring the art on display. Beautiful building and art museum, well worth a short visit. Parking available in front of the building.

What a gem. We weren't sure if we would be allowed in. We were welcomed and given a tour. We learned so much and really enjoyed it. It's just beautiful inside and out.

If you want to take a beer and you're in Claremont, you surely need to go to the CCA! They have a lot of beers and a vast space to hang out with some friends, the prices are good, taps are around 5 dollars and they're delicious!

This one-room gallery within the very green campus (extensive lawns, olive trees, and shrubbery) of Scripps College has an active exhibits and lecture seriers. In their current "Asian Art Treasures at Scripps College (Aug. 31 - Dec. 15, 2019) one of the unique stars was an Indian minature on ivory from the Denison Library College. This gallery is open from 12 - 5, Wed. - Sunday with free admission. Although small, the stunning pieces in this show highlighted the depth and breadth of the Asian art at Scripps College. Dotted throughout the campus are sculptures, such as the small bronze of Harriet Tubman (the full sized piece is in Brooklyn) in the adjacent courtyard.

The Skyspace titled “Dividing the Light” is in the middle of Pomona College campus. Refer to a map to find it in the beautiful city of Claremont. It is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. James Terrell is a graduate of Pomona College, and it is the only Skyspace of his available for viewing in Southern California. It is a cool space to photograph.

Journeyed to Claremont, California for a day of sightseeing and hiking. Stopped off at the Claremont Historical Station located on West 1st Street, Claremont, to view this historical building. The train station was originally built in 1927 and renovated in 1992. The Metrolink and bus station for Claremont are located across from the entrance to the old Claremont Historical Station (on the opposite side of the train platforms). The building is constructed in the Spanish Colonial revival style of architecture with large windows and a white ornate exterior facade. Sitting in front of the building is an old clock tower with “Claremont” designated on it. The interior of the building now houses the Claremont Museum of Art. Entrance fee is a modest admission of $5.00. Several rooms of art by local artist are on display. Staff members are helpful and will provide information about the various pieces of art. Spent an hour looking at and admiring art and the old train station. Beautiful building, well worth a short visit. Parking available in front of the building.

The Russian Village District is like nothing I have seen before. I believe the homes are made up of the original paving of the streets. But it is a cool little place to check out.
