What travellers are saying
- Disney91Pittsburgh, PA42 contributionsWe could walk here from our rental, the boardwalks lead to picturesque vistas, seating, beach access and something new around every twist and turn.Written 24 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JJJC_FamilyVirginia636 contributionsWhat I like was all the places where there were rocks in the water where the waves would smash into them and the water would shoot up in dramatic fashion. Cool. Also, seeing the birds on the rocks and flyiing around and the occasional otters, sea lions, whatever bellowing adds to the ambiance of the setting. It’s like an appetizer to the main course of 17 Mile Drive, with its spectacularly dramatic scenery and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve as dessert.Written 13 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JeremyDavis, CA98 contributionsIt was a little stormy when we visited, but this would be an ideal spot for a picnic on a decent day. - JJJC_FamilyVirginia636 contributionsFirst, I will start with the fact there was a decent parking lot right there. That isn’t always the case around these parts. As it was December when we were there, it was almost empty. There is a little park-like spot here and you can sit, look at the ocean, the coast and just relax as the breeze washes over you., While the view is not spectacularly dramatic, it is sweeping. Restful, actually. There is at least one restaurant, a cafe, a burger place and more to have a meal. Or you can bring some food and munch on the bench. A handful of trees provide some shade. There are a couple of small beaches on the right side, there. One of them had the waves lapping over almost the entire beach. You can even just bring a book and again feel the breeze and the smell of the ocean. There’s a hotel, maybe two right by the Park, which is a reasonable location to spend a night. How long you stay depends on you.Written 13 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dunadanLynnwood, WA2,500 contributionsWe were staying at the Butterfly Grove Inn, so we had easy access to the sanctuary. We walked through the small park-like setting a couple of times and saw some deer both times. There is even a deer "gate" on the street side of the sanctuary for deer to access the area.Written 31 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JJJC_FamilyVirginia636 contributionsWe came on a Friday, but unbeknownst to us, it is only open weekends. Actually, we tried a variety of ways to see as much of it as we could and it looked like a cute little lighthouse. We also walked to take a look at the little golf course that sort of wrapped around it, 10th Tee, I think it was called. A bit ragged, but strangely, if I were to be interested in trying a round of golf, I think it would be there. It’s a poor man’s Pebble Beach. If and when we return to the area, we probably will try to come back here. Why? I am not certain. But I think I would.Written 13 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- nickss1Southend-on-Sea, UK4,562 contributionsWe visited 25 years to the day following the crash in which John Denver died; it happened just off the coast. Some flowers had been left by the memorial stone. It is an interesting spot to spend some time. It also affords some stunning views out to seaWritten 14 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Blooms65Northern California1,525 contributionsQuaint shop quite large and loaded with shabby chic items including furniture. Fun antique store to just wander through. It will bring back lots of childhood memories if you are of a 'certain age'. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and chatty. No doubt you'll find a treasure to take home as I did.Written 26 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
