Check the website for what the they have for the kids. The night we went they had city works night for the kids to check out all the city trucks and tractors and how they work. Really nice to include kids in. Lots of food and locals selling things they have made. Just have to find parking and your in.

This is a must stop for families traveling to the central California coast. No more than an hour to 90 minute stop. There is an extensive free fruit/vegi/food stand. There is a wagon hayride of the entire farm that they offer. Fresh corn on the cob, when in season, is a draw. The best part, the petting zoo of barnyard animals….. which is the biggest reason to visit.

Such a great experience. We are really out of shape so just took out time. Other people breezed by us. Just go at your own pace and enjoy the scenery!

We had limited time but wanted to stop and see this Mission. We were late for the 11 am tour so waited for the 1.15 one (with Chuck) and he did an excellent job. One is always competing with the parking meter and have seen the meter maid give tickets so it is always wise to not default. Learned a bit about the mission and its activities.

This is such a memorable and authentic experience for tourists to America! Our family loved our trip to the drive-in. The snacks are really reasonably-priced too.

If you are a St. Louis Cardinals fan, you will be thrilled to see the college baseball home of legendary shortstop Ozzie Smith here at Cal Poly. Even though the field is different than when he played (in fact, very nicely updated), the homage they pay to the Wizard is great, including a small statue with plaque describing his career. We didn't spend as much time looking at the main campus because it was Move In Week and parents with students had taken over.

Exactly what you expect but this isn't an issue!
An alley way full of gum, you can smell it! Worth a stop and a photo!

SLO seemed like a cool place to spend a couple of days as a side note.

When we got here there was quite a few people and not a lot of staff. They could have easily used that as an excuse for poor service, but just the opposite. Everyone was very friendly, very helpful (it was out first visit here) about the tasting options (not only great wines but some awesome ciders). We had heard they had peacocks and as soon as we arrived we could hear a couple of them and later saw a few around the yard. AS i said our waitress was very helpful with the tasting options and even was prompt to refill. Really one of the best wineries we visited in SLO. It's very informal, outside setting. Nice and relaxing, just and enjoy the view and great wine (only $15 for a flight of 4, very reasonable for quality wines. They have a apple Chardonnay that's really good and unique. I highly recommend visiting, if your in the area.

If you, or your guests, want the WOW factor, this is the place to go. Outstanding views in a beautiful, modern tasting room. Outdoor tastings also available. Great wines that you won't find at the grocery store. So why not a '5' rating? I had to talk to 3 different people to try to arrange a table of 8 (3 of whom didn't drink) tasting. Only 6 allowed! Couldn't do it. So we made two separate bookings. When we arrived - no problem. Wasn't busy. They put us all together and we had a good time. Maybe a little too "corporate?" Gallo owns them.
We made it worth their while and bought several bottles in addition to the tastings.

Very nice mission but we missed the tour (only one at 1:15pm daily). It's located in downtown SLO which makes it a great location, as you can easily walk to other sites nearby (Mission plaza is very cool and something usually going on). Worth a visit to one of the 21 missions along California's coast.

Fantastic combination of trails. the Valencia Peak Trail takes you past some amazing stratigraphic a geology. Even with some blowing fog, the views were spectacular the whole way up. When I left Paso Robles at noon it was 104 degrees. The weather all along the Valencia Peak Trail was cool and breezy, no higher than 65 degrees.

The trip up is moderately steep, but nothing that the average hiker couldn't do. The trip down could be a bit slippery with the gravel, but if you take your time you'll be fine.

I did a combination of Valencia peak and bluffs Trail. All in all it was around seven miles and it was fantastic. Valencia peak portion takes you to high altitudes. The bluffs portion allows you to see those high altitudes from the amazing marine terraces

Read up on the geology of the area. Specifically, learn a little bit about marine terraces. This will make the hike even more exciting.

If you are Red wine enthusiastic person, they offer variety of red wines which go smooth and balance. The tasting flight was great. You have all of their best reds of the season and some from Spain as well.
