- StefJKOakdale, CT47 contributionsHad to be out and about early in that part of the state. Decided to make a day of it and explore what the area had to offer.
Hiked the Tower Trail and had a spectacular time. Very scenic with great views at the top.
They have so many trails and many levels of difficulty. The grounds were clean and the dog owners highly responsible.Written 18 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - odea5Oahu, HI19 contributionsLike any museum, the experience can be really enhanced by joining a guided tour. I visited the museum previously and walked through on my own - found that to be an okay experience. I went back with a friend and we went through with a docent and it was a completely different experience - we learned so much and saw the art in a very different way thanks to the interpretations and background. This Irish story is one that needs to be told more widely as it has important messages for life in this world today.Written 30 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GerryBaron06Spring City, PA951 contributionsI was looking for something different to do in the New Haven area since we had been to East Rock Park a few times. We drove there from Milford.
The view from the top is magnificent. There is a picnic pavilion up there. Unfortunately, it was hot and there was no breeze at all so we did not stay at the top very long.
Along the route to the top, there are a couple of turnoffs with more limited fields of vision than the view from the top.
We checked out Judges Rock. It is an interesting rock formation with a great story about two American Revolutionary heroes who hid among the rocks to evade capture.
We were surprised by how quickly we were able to get to Yale’s campus. It was nearly a straight shot from the park to the campus.Written 1 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Celia48dHamden, CT112 contributionsRecently my sister and I explored a different section of the trail. We parked in Cheshire, and went north. The towns it passed through, mainly Cheshire and southington, did an outstanding job. Nice benches, flowers, and tire pumping stations. It was mostly flat, a few easy uphills, but manageable.
Our next ride will go further north.Written 2 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - bonapetittoHamden, CT6 contributionsThis is a family run business. The produce is excellent and freshly picked.
There is an area for small children to play on swings, slides etc.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - john gHamden, CT355 contributionsBassett Park is a town facility that includes 4 baseball fields of different sizes. - OlympicMikeBoston81 contributionsWent to a Quinnipiac basketball game in Nov 2019. This could be the best basketball venue of its size that I've visited and I've been to dozens. Great sight lines, great atmosphere, plenty of rest rooms, plenty of concessions (although I ate before I went to the game so I can't vouch for the quality/pricing), ample parking and not a bad seat in the house. I actaully wish it was closer to my home town so I could go more often. Any mid to low major basketball program that is planning to build a new facility should use People's United Center as a model facility. I really can't say enough good things about this place and I'm a tough critic on sports venues. Just really well done.Written 25 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mike lHamden, CT152 contributionsThe Eli Whitney Museum is easy to find. There is a stop light on Whitney Ave that allows easy entry to the parking lot. At Christmas time there is a very nice model railroad. Other times of the year you can see a collection of old toys, chemistry sets and other interesting items. There are also some nice hiking paths through the local woods.Written 16 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pert407Easton, CT16 contributionsI saw the old 97s here ..great space 2 bars but limited seating so as long as you are hear to dance its all good acoustics were great intimate space to hear your favorite band ..no food that i can tell a bit off the beaten trail but worth itWritten 15 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

The beer was very good - had the Evenflow, Do-si-Do and Say it Loud (best brown ale I've had in a long time). Place was clean and enjoyable. Jake was Great and very knowledgeable - he was awesome. Will definitely stop in again soon.Written 11 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- John CrosbyNottingham, UK28 contributionsAn entirely accurate name, even before it became the ONLY store of its kind. Carefully curated in a variety of browsing styles but most importantly offering actual human recommendation from people that actually care about films. Cancel your Netflix subscription and go to Best. - Mark whoeNew York City, NY2 contributionsI actually love the sense of calmness and care that I got at Hamden Spa Palace. The massage therapist was so skilled. The massage parlor was well equipped and I was all happy taking the deep tissue massage which helped me get away with my shoulder pain. A recommended hub for Asian massage service in Hamden, CT!Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joanne PHamden, CT9 contributionsHamden is fortunate to be home to Wine 101. A gem of a wine and cheese shop it benefits from a friendly and very knowledgeable staff and features an expansive selection of primarily small batch wines with something for everyone. The shop offers weekly wine classes that are inclusive of all levels of knowledge. Worth the stop!Written 9 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robin LAdams, MA116 contributionsWe've never done Duckpin before and so wanted to try it. This was awesome. Better than either candlepin or ten-pin. The balls are a little bigger than candlepin but heavier, so it's easier to get a strike or a spare. I wish we had this near my home.
The lanes are sort of hidden in the back of a shopping area, so keep looking, it's worth it.Written 12 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Brad W1 contributionI was a first-time visitor to the area and stopped by this bookstore on a rainy March afternoon. The bookstore has a pleasant atmosphere and good fresh coffee. I purchased a very large coffee table book for $25 and I would have paid more, nice deal. Would have given it 5 stars had there been more signage and organization by subject matter, but this strore was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed my visit.Written 3 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
