What travellers are saying
- Sharon DeWitt2 contributionsWe enjoyed our time there once we found it. The GPS sent us to live oak island. Since we are from out of town, we did not realize it until we waisted over an hour looking for the place. We finally programmed st mark’s lighthouse. We were 25 minutes away from that location. Needless to say, we spent a good part of the day once we got there but we wanted to get there in the morning. If you use the GPS to get there indicate you are going to st. Mark’s lighthouse and you will be fine.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- M&JRFort Worth, TX874 contributionsWhat a great place. Stop in Tallahassee and see this unbelievable museum right off I-10. It is SO MUCH more than an automotive museum. Besides a fantastic showing of every type of automobile made over a hundred years, you’ll find two floors, row upon row, and case upon case of: Barbie Dolls, Case Knives, US Coins, Baseball cards, Golf Clubs and bags, stamps, Star Wars Toys, Star Trek Toys, Arrow Head rocks, motorcycles, Elgin antique pocket watches, Mrs. Beasley “Family Affair” Doll, all the original scientific calculators and “smart phones,” telephones, typewriters, etc., etc.
I’ve never see a collection like this. You’ll walk in with a wow and leave with a double wow.
I was told this is a new location. It was so easy to get to off I-10. The grounds are lovely with plenty of free parking.
It will be great to see how this museum develops over time. School tours? Weddings? Family gatherings? Audio tours?
I saw the reviews and photos on TripAdvisor. With a 14-day vacation, this was a highlight.
Again, a must stop and see.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KSEsteroEstero, FL48 contributionsBeautiful campus. Brick buildings and walking paths. Best part is the gorgeous trees. Providing needed shade for a hot summer day.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maureen GVenice, FL78 contributionsWe enjoyed walking through the old caboose, where one or two railroad workers would sleep and eat, and seeing the old historic buildings on the site: the original house of a small plantation, a one-room school, and a church, and the very small but poignant cemetery behind the church. Although it bothers me to see wild animals in captivity, these enclosures were large and made as normal/comfortable as possible.Written 25 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Prissy PChester, UK193 contributionsThese Gardens are beautiful and a must see. There is a swimming hole, hiking trails, walking trails, a reflection pool, and so many places for photo opportunities. A minimum admission fee.Written 29 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mississippi MissMississippi151 contributionsWent here with a travel group and enjoyed it very much. It was all reconstructed and I thought they’d done an extraordinary job. I loved that they had people dressed in period costume.
The young priest was especially friendly and eager to discuss anything asked of him. Some of the others were okay. One of the young ladies I found not to be friendly at all when I’d asked her a question.
They had a gift shop that was more on the artistic side that was really nice.Written 18 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ericalynnkPalm City, FL32 contributionsVery clean nice museum. We spent about 1.5 hours and I could have stayed easily another hour. - bli1220Eustis, FL294 contributionsThis was beautiful location. Only sad part is the inside was closed because of Covid. Would loved to have gone inside. Even the gift store at visitor store was closed -been this way for over 2 years. When all other businesses are opening so should this park. Still worth drive to check this out.Written 14 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

The information in the Capitol was very informative.Written 28 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 741petermUtica, NY221 contributionsA gem in Tallahassee. A very informative tour by our guide Nancy. Worth the two hours it took to walk through the house. It’s on par with the Newport mansions.Written 12 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TWBCincinnati, OH2,220 contributionsI first discovered Railroad Square bring hubby for a haircut at Chop Railroad. I couldn't wait to get back to explore more. Most recently spent part of a day with a friend in and out of shops. Fat Cat Books was a personal favorite. Terrific prices on used books and free snuggles with the cats up for adoption roaming the store. Neat place to spend some time and something for everyone here.Written 22 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maria B6 contributionsThis is one of Tallahassee's best kept secrets. Actually, it feels like the Secret Garden. This park + garden is full of charm and beauty. It's a wonderful spot for a peaceful picnic to escape the busy city. Spring or early summer are my favorite time to stop in.Written 8 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Pedego _of_TallahasseeTallahassee, FL8 contributionsIt was a gorgeous day in the panhandle departing Tallahassee the child quickly lifted and I found myself halfway to Saint Marks.
With an ear full of the Brothers Osborne, I found myself peacefully surrounded by what was old Florida! And while little his changed is definitely worth your time to take in the beauty and peacefulness that is North Florida Apalachicola natural forest and it’s Saint Marks Trail.Written 4 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - caroline h11 contributionsBread is bad for ducks, frozen peas are available for under $1 at Aldies and are much healthier for the ducks. Oats, carrots, and unsalted nuts are other healthy alternatives to bread. This spot is a nice place to relax and spend a day looking at the ducks, turtles, and cute shops and cafes surrounding it.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
