- Wayne G6 contributionsBeautiful beach and very friendly people. Driving into the park is absolutely beautiful with large live oaks and palms. $5 parking fee is a deal. Amazed with the fact the sand does not burn your feet like some beaches on the east coast. Smoking and alcohol not allowed which is fine with me, although a cold brew would be nice, but one can survive. Gets crowded early. - Jay L7 contributionsI need to post something positive to balance the one-star restaurant review I just did :) This family-owned and operated park is definitely focused on the kids, but I enjoyed a short visit and watching the effort they put into helping the kids have a great time and learn about the sealife and animals. Because it was a Monday afternoon it was lighter traffic than "usual", but nice to talk to the workers about individual animals (especially the reptiles) - it was clear they were familiar with the personalities of their charges, not just "doing a job". I also really appreciated the rescue efforts in their work, especially for reptiles with a LONG potential lifespan (they estimated one of their snapping turtles was probably over 100 years old). Had the games I was looking for plus loads of other.
Atari Tempest, Atari Star Wars, OutRun, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Galaga, Galaxian, Pacman, Mrs Pacman and a good selection of pinball machines.
Pity it didn't have an Atari Pole Position 😢
The staff were very welcoming.

The trails are very green and lush. The paths are well labeled and easy to walk. It is also free! I didn’t go into the Visitor Center, but a read a review that said they accept donations. I would have given 5 stars but I was disappointed that we didn’t see many birds. The reason why is because there is a shooting club nearby and we constantly heard the pop, pop, pop of gunfire. We are certain that is what scared the birds away. We quite enjoyed the Heritage Museum here as well. They had various exhibits on display when we were there. I especially liked the high school at that was depicting familiar sayings.
