What travellers are saying
- Jenna57 contributionsWe had an amazing experience on the Autumn Lights Cruise! We capstoned our honeymoon with this experience. We did book ahead of time, and we’re thankful we did as it appears to have been full. Although we did not partake, there were light snacks and refreshments (including coffee) available for purchase.
The crew were kind, friendly, and informative. They shared local history, landmarks (of course focusing on the river lighthouses), and wildlife. We feel very fortunate that we were able to see 2 eagles, countless seals, and many other waterfowl! The seals were so cute popping up and checking out what us tourists were doing! The fog rolled in and we were worried it would ruin our views but actually cast a really cool vantage point over the river!
This hopefully a helpful tip - our cruise docked and we left the museum around 5:45 so we just recommend accounting for a little leeway around the 5:30 end of cruise if you’re making dinner reservations. We didn’t have dinner booked until 7:20 so we weren’t in a rush!
We talked about doing another tour with them on subsequent trips to Maine! Thank you so much!Written 16 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This one has beautiful rock formations from every angle. The man talking in the museum was so friendly and knowledgeable.Written 2 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,906 contributionsIt was fascinating to view the replica of Maine's first ocean-going ship, the 1607 pinnace Virginia, and learn how it was reconstructed. The historic Bath Freight Shed was built in 1890 and has its own amazing story. It's also used for public events and Bath's winter farmers market.Written 16 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ThomasTCatSt. Louis, MO713 contributionsWe are so glad we stopped by this wonderful information center because we thought we were only coming to Bath to see the Maine Maritime Museum. Little did we know that there were enough wonderful places to explore that we came back a second day to enjoy this amazing town.
We were given lots of maps, brochures and even a walking /driving tour map of the beautiful architecture that we thoroughly enjoyed. This should definitely be your first stop when you come to Bath!Written 9 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,906 contributionsThree years later, and another visit to this gallery while in Bath. They still have a great selection of beautiful upscale items with prices to match. No bargain hunting here!Written 15 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- gascolatorPennsylvania54 contributionsWe paddled our kayaks there. Best to arrive early, as the parking is very limited. Fascinating shoreline.
The water is quite warm, so it's a popular place for swimmers.
No facilities. So be prepared to pull up a tree.Written 23 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The rental manager Deb was awesome. The venue is traditional, romantic and antique. My only complaint is paying extra for their kitchen. Their kitchen is extremely tiny and basically useless in terms of space. Regardless you will love this as your hassle free celebration venue.Written 23 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cpearce10143 contributionsWe took the geology trail, rocky end trail, and cabin trail. The cabin trail was disappointing because there wasn't a trail marker indicating the end of the trail and it does look like you can keep going. No real evidence that there was a cabin. The rest of the trails were very scenic and we did see a deer while we were out. A few points of the hike were a little more challenging and steep but OK for novices. If you are looking for a quiet walk in the woods this is it...and wear some big spray. We did have issues with mosquitoes in some spots... Even on a brisk day.Written 24 September 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ValleyForgeVillanova, PA8 contributionsLast time I checked, he's still 6feet under and content. Have heard zero complaints. Seriously though, the staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, kind, showed us around the available plots and were great during a sad time for the family. - MaineMountainOwlMaine287 contributionsThis delightful outdoor fountain sculpture in Bath’s pleasant and welcoming Library Square Park was one of the highlights of a visit to Bath. The 7.1-foot (2.1 m) modernist bronze fountain, created by William Zorach, was a gift to the city. Walking in the area varies from nearly flat to hilly on mostly uneven surfaces, Parking was curbside on nearby streets. I liked all that I found here; I disliked nothing.Written 3 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,906 contributionsThis structure is one of my favorite buildings in New England, if not the whole country. It's an extraordinary one. The 1929 Davenport Memorial/City Hall is made of limestone and bricks and is a mix of Classical Revival, Georgian, Federal, and Greek Revival architecture. Some history: it was built as memorial to Charles Davenport, a Bath native involved with the maritime industry. The bell tower has an 1802 bell cast by Paul Revere.Written 20 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
