The houseboat booked was amazing. If you book with saffron India Tours all you need to do is experience the best of Kerala and everything else will be taken care ok. - BibhuSan Francisco, CA11 contributionsI was visiting India recently from USA and took out time for a short trip to Kerala. I was with my family of five, and took the help of Sree Tours to book a fantastic experience.
Here was our itinerary of 5 nights, 6 days
Kochi airport (land)
-> Alleppey (resort 1 night)
-> Kumarakom (houseboat 1 night)
-> Munnar (3 nights)
-> Kochi airport (depart)
Our journey began at the Konda Lip backwaters heritage resort and continued on to the Palazhi houseboat, both of which were beautifully presented and provided a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Chef Nithin & rest of the houseboat staff were super accommodating. The Kerala food served deserves 5 stars!
Next we visited the tea gardens in Munnar. The tea plantations were so well-maintained, providing a perfect backdrop for our vacation photos. We stayed in Aranyaka resort which had lovely views of the Attukkad waterfalls from the room. My teenage daughter & I did a guided hike on the mountains - highly recommended if you want to see Munnar via the off beaten path. It was tough (but highly enjoyable) for me, so I suggest doing it if you are decently fit.
The real hero of our trip, however, was our driver George Jacob who stayed with us throughout the journey. An expert driver, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make our journey smooth and enjoyable. He made sure we reached our destinations on time, recommended local restaurants/shows/spas, helped us with our bags and made my family feel very welcome. Thank you George for your hospitality!
Overall, I would highly recommend Sreekumar & Ajitha of Sree Tours to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Kerala. Their honest recommendations, turnkey planning and fast turnaround with customizations led me to believe we were in good hands. - kamana1 contributionI was visiting India for a wedding and always wanted to visit Kerala. We found this trip and it was amazing. Kerala really is God's country. Stunningly beautiful, our tour took us to the tea plantations, waterfalls, a wildlife preserve, the beach, a private houseboat.
The hotels they selected were all superb, with delightful views from our window, excellent cuisine, and overall a fabulous experience.

- Kei A2 contributionsI booked a package to be picked up in Kochi to go to Munnar and do the Kolukkumalai sunrise walk. It was a great experience: my driver was great, very knowledgeable (and a good photographer): he would suggest certain sights and shops on the way from Kochi to Munnar, making the long drive fun and entertaining. Kolukkumalai at sunrise is gorgeous! Amazing, superb, extraordinary is not the word that can describe the beauty of this falls. We got an opportunity to see a good number of elephants as well as different varieties of birds. I am speechless and do not know how to express or put in words my experience. We also had an outstanding Lunch, Expertise Team made sure everything is in line with the plan. - Abhishek_chgMumbai, India1 contributionVisited Cochin for a Conference and we 12 collegues planned trip to Alleppey backwaters. We googled and got a very good deal from Kerala paradise holidays. Our driver reached hotel on time. There was prox 2 hrs drive to Alleppey from our cochin hotel. Houseboat cruew were waiting for us. We had 4 hrs cruise and they served delicious kerala lunch and Tea snacks. Amazing experience. Will come to Kerala again with family and will contact you guys again. - Ronit Goswami2 contributionsIt was an unique experience. One will not get to see such a place in rest of India. We took a 3 hrs long boat trip(shikara type) and covered almost every spot. There is also option of boat house (a bit more costly) which are luxurious and are more preferable for night stays.
