    Working on a new visitor's center
    The staff was friendly and helpful. There visitor's center is in a new location where they are working on more displays and exhibits. What they had was nice and informative. The battlefield is a solemn reminder of the past with nice informational signs

    R&R - nice clean and big park!
    We stayed in the newly constructed cabins along the shores of Lake Erie. Beautiful views!! The cabins were a step up from camping. Running water, private shower and toilet. 2-bed rooms and pullout couch! The six of us fit just fine !(mom, dad, kids-17,15,14,11) 2 of the kids had to share a bed, but they figured it all out!
    We will definitely come again, but will include the following in our packing:
    * bedding(comforter or blankets are NOT included!!) and mattresses are super crinkly/noisy so probably a mattress pad too!
    *hand towels— they only provided 2 wash clothes
    *camp chairs
    *bikes - there is a lot of paved paths to explore— just be on the lookout for snakes!!
    * the kids say we need our fishing boat and all those accessories, but our boys caught fish from shore along the beach in Front of our cabin
    *hammock
    *a coffee single serve pod machine was provided..
    *they provided a broom and the chairs on the screen porch are great!

    Interesting place
    Nice park to honor Vietnam veterans. Nice area for walking. Playground looks like the kids would enjoy it. Walkable from our hotel. The Army helicopters are very neat.

    Out of the Ordinary items
    The first floor has local history and the top floor has local photography, the history of Custer and war history. The local history is arrange in interesting displays. Unique items and their histories are noted in various cases. There is even an area for decoys. Every case seemed to have at least one thing that was out of the ordinary.

    The only thing that would have made the experience better would be a tour guide that had some interesting bits to share.

    Looking forward to new programs and ddvelopments
    The buildings weren't really open when we visited, but we happened to stop when some of the staff were doing some work. They stopped and talked to us about the history and plans for future development of the site. It was a nice visit and we're glad we stopped.

    Next to River Raisin
    This park is adjacent to the river and has great river views. There is a nice memorial here. There are grills and benches. Park on the street and enjoy the green space with plenty of trees for shade.

    Clean
    Clean bathrooms well manitted. Setting was nice. Tress,big rocks. Needs more Parking for trucks there was none left.

    I live in Monroe. A couple good stores, movie theater, bounce house (forgot the name) and that's it.

    Small riverside park
    This is a nice and well kept riverside park. Plenty of trees for shade here. Nice for fishing or viewing the river.

    Great theatre!
    Excellent theatre in an otherwise dead shopping mall. Great concessions including online coupon for free popcorn (which is top notch), very comfortable seats and excellent screens and sound.

    FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE
    First time I have ever done an Escape Room and the experience was more than I had ever expected. The atmosphere was wonderful. Very clean place and the Escape Rooms were nothing less than FANTASTIC. The two owners were absolutely wonderful. I seriously would highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

    Wasn’t sure at first, but very glad we stopped
    We were not sure if this was a biker bar or a kid friendly restaurant at first as we are not from the area. We went on a very busy Thursday night and the parking lot was packed. We sat for a long time and finally had to hunt an employee down for a menu. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed, but was very friendly. We ordered a mashed potato and Captain’s delight pizza. Totally worth the confusion and wait. The prices were very reasonable and the riverside deck had a great view.
    At one point a drinking patron jumped in the river on a bet and swam to the opposite side of the river and back. That was kind of nerve wracking, but my kids and the other people there thought it was pretty entertaining.
