    Cooking Class
    While in Leon we took a cooking class with Vamos Travel Nic. It was an excellent experience. All communication with Franklin was answered promptly. Henri our guide met us at our hotel and from there we walked to the Central Market. This is where the fun started! But I am not going to give it away you will have to join and see what I am referring to. We sampled different products at the market. With our ingredients in hand for our vegetarian option of “Indio Viejo we traveled by bus to the outskirts. We learned how tortillas were made at a local workshop. We learned to cook our typical dish and sat at the table with our guide, Franklin, and our cooking instructor. It was a wonderful experience eating the meal with our new friends. I highly recommend this experience for all.

    Somoto Canyon for 1
    Somoto Canyon solo guided tour with Noel and bilingual Jeovany. I requested to camp since I was arriving late (6p) and then do a morning tour until 1p.
    Definitely recommended.
    Somoto Canyon was a blast!! I was the only tourist there, so we were surrounded by nature, canyoning and swimming and hiking. Definitely a reprieve from the heat of León. Not hard to get to even for an English speaker with very little Spanish, but it is remote.
    Fun’N’Sun was able to cobble together a tour at the spur of the moment and surpassed my expectations.

    Great adventure in Somoto Canyon (from Leon)
    We did a day tour to Somoto Canyon from Leon. It was a long drive, but our driver made it very comfortable for us. And it was worth it - the canyon is nice and we had a great time walking, swimming and jumping in the canyon!

    Best experience ever!
    Marjorie is a GREAT tourguide. She led us and gave us a lot of information along the way about the history, culture and facts about the volcano.
    She was very helpful with explaining and teaching how to board. She took many pictures of us and is an AMAZING photographer. She even sent them via whatsapp before days end.
    She and her partner were very punctual and professional and we felt very safe.
    It was an amazing experience ! Highly recommend

    Great hosts and facilities to enjoy an awesome beach
    Salinas is a beautiful beach which is a little of the beat and track but if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Leon and spend a day with hosts who really want to make your stay enjoyable, have access to kayaking, surfing, volleyball, boogey boarding as well as a cool place to hang out then Salinas Grandes Day Beach Resort is a must do. There are really nice chill out areas in the day resort with options to eat and drink as well as a good sized dip pool to relax in. The hosts Christian and Norah will go out of there way to customise your visit and make your stay as enjoyable as possible and the staff are just as hospitable.
