First I have to say that the guides and people at the office were very friendly. But this hike turned out to be a little more than what we've bargained for. Cosigüina is not visited often, and so at certain moments, there was no trail at all. The hike was a lot more difficult than what we thought and we feel that we were mislead by the guide and office personnel, because they told us the what I was wearing was fine (sleeveless shirt and shorts) and didn't need to worry about the sun so much because of the tree branches would provide shading. However, this was not true in the end of the month of April since all the leaves have fallen. Also, we ran out of water and got multiple scratches for the dried branches everywhere. We ended up dehydrated and suffered from heatstroke, my girlfriend even lost consciousness for a short while. All ended well in the end, but we feel it might have been a better experience with a more organized company.
