This is a gem of a park with beautiful flowers, a Japanese garden, clean facilities, winding trails and a fantastic pavilion overlooking the harbor.

The park has restrooms, accessible trails, lots of shady areas, benches and grassy areas for relaxing, You can get down to the rocky shore by following the trail behind the lovely stone amphitheater.
Awesome location to enjoy the cool breezes blowing off of Lake Superior, yet away from the hustle and bustle of Canal Park.

We try to stop at Adventure Park at Spirit Mountain just to ride the Timber Twister every time we are in Duluth.

lots to see and the otter feeding is pretty neat!! Across the parking lot is a nice park for the kids.

Lester Park, just off of Highway 61 in Duluth is a real jewel for those who like a pretty walk.The trail begins right beside the park carpark and wanders along the Lester River.
Starting in the park, you can climb the hill on the Amity East trail, or the Lester River trail; they connect via a (muddy) ski trail.

The new road through the park is spectacular to see the scenery , the river, the rapids, and the beautiful waterfalls by the hydro dam.
Very pretty, awesome nature and great way to get exercise.

We went to the millions of lights held here each year...was terrific and what a buy for families...You pay $5.00 to park...and if is too far ...they shuttle...Was a beautiful evening and just gorgeous displays...
Little man enjoyed his time to run around and be a kid on a late Sunday morning for about an hour and we enjoyed it as well taking in the views around town and the foliage in the park!

They have great animal exhibits and spectacular nature views with trails and waterfalls to explore.
There are park benches close to the animal enclosures where you can sit and observe the animals.

Walk past the airport on Park Point, the longest freshwater sandbar in the world, out the trails thru some virgin forest seeing glimpses of the bay to the south, go to the end to the outlet of the St.Louis River,...
Located at the end of Park Point you can practically walk to WI. Has sandy open parts with dunes, pine, and hardwood forest, grassy plains...all with water on both sides.

We stopped, hiked in along the trail by the park sign to see the lighthouse (and where the ranger lives) and then returned to the rocky "harbor" to swim in the cool, but refreshing Lake Superior water there at sun...

This mostly unknown city park provides a really good view of Duluth and can be companied with the view from mesaba ave with can be accessed from stairs in the corner of the park closest to it.
The view from the top of the park is incredible day or night.
