This is billed as the oldest house in New York City and it is filled with fascinating objects. The tour is led by Marion Duckworth Smith and costs $25.00 per person. Send her an email at the address on her website.

Folks are free to stroll thru the garden and take photos. A diagram of the cemetery with the inscriptions of all 132 tombstones is included with the tour. A walk thru of the downstairs living quarters is given by Mrs. Smith.

    Unexpectedly interesting.

On our recent revisit to Jackson Heights now renamed East Elmhurst, Queens, NY we found LaGuardia Landing Lights Park Is a great find. It is great this time of year also if you want to watch the planes land at LGA hence it’s named appropriately Landing Lights Park.

After waiting a year, the park's reconstruction is finally complete. Although the big playground set is not there anymore, the new designs of the set is still very nice. They did keep the whole baseball concrete field all the way in the back. There are more tables now for people to sit and enjoy. Overall, it's a very nice renovation.

Another quaint discovery that I made while walking around East Elmhurst over the weekend. Because we are in a pandemic, not many airlines were flying. Still it was nice to see LGA from another perspective. I plan to be back soon, possibly next weekend.

I really nice park overlooking the parts of East Elmhurst. On a normal day, you can hear the airplanes landing and taking off. I was here for some solitude over the weekend. This park is a definite must if you need to relax whether you are visiting or reside close by.

I come here to take photos of 31st Ave and view the Empire State Building from afar. The park is a triangle where you can sit while waiting for a number of buses including the Q49 and Q19. I need to come back here again

The agent at the visitor desk very helpful in obtaining the Hampton Inn Hotel. They have the local phone numbers for local airport hotels.
In addition it is the location to purchase the MTA card for travel on the Subway and Buses. Note if you desire Senior citizen fare just buy a ticket for three dollars and when you get to the subway station purchase a discounted card from the MTA Agent.
