Finally got to visit Teatown today! It was great! Such a nice place to walk/hike. I can’t wait to go back in the spring/summer. Nice trail around the beautiful lake and there are other trails, too. There is also a small area to view rescued birds. I would definitely recommend going.

The concert was fantastic. We bought dinner from an Equadorian food truck. While the food was good, the line was slow on a hot night. Got good beers from Ossining Brewery.

This is a neat little exhibit attached to the Ossining Recreation Center. Just a $5 taxi ride up the hill from the train station. It's a small exhibit that I can't imagine spending more than 20-30 minutes at. There are kids around as it is an active Rec center so it might be quieter during the day as compared to the afternoon when I went through. The shiv and cell examples are interesting. If you're in the area, check it out, but don't expect a long visit.

A wide variety of great plants. Great planting and gardening advice.
Father and daughter team that can't be beat.
Going there for years, never disappointed.

I live pretty close to this park and over time I have gone farther and farther into the woods. if you go far enough near a little stream on the white trail, look right and you will see an opening into the woods. walk on that for a bit and you come out in this long drive way. walk left and you will end up at this beautiful castle. built by Abrocrombie from Abrocrombie and Fitch, E.L.D.A castle, built in 1927, named after his four children. two of his children, Lucy and David, died tragically in the 30s. the castle is run down and the windows are broken and about 15 rooms are missing. over time, the rooms have been randomly exploding and catching fire. if you read this and are interested in going here, be cautious, for it is haunted by david and lucy. if you dont belie me, go inside of it and take a picture. it will be blurry. for people seeking some thrill and adventure, head to sunny ridge preseve, park there, walk to the road and walk left and take the old looking street with no name. search up elda castle. the address is 249, croton dam road.

A warm friendly place where everyone sits at tables around the stage and first you have a wonderful meal and then you watch a show. They served a choice of Ravioli and meatballs, Ham dinner with all the fixings, rolled Eggplant and Mac,or a fish dinner with baked potatoe, all were delicious and also came with a baked apple ice cream dessert

Beautifully restored, this streamside path makes for a refreshing place to walk and enjoy the sunshine. With plenty of space to social distance, this route proved to be a perfect escape from covid-induced confinement.

The weather had been threatening but we took a chance anyway. My daughter is a very newbie golfer and it’s better to play when it’s not busy. Since this is the most expensive county course, we went for twilight rates ($57 with cart for non residents for a 445 tee time). It worked out perfectly. We played as a twosome and didn’t have any pressure from followers. The course is in pretty good shape, tee to green. It is an interesting layout. Typical of public courses, some of the greens have the ball mark problem. It is pretty tight in many places, more than a few blind tee shots and there are a number of elevated tees and greens. The rough is pretty tough so try to keep the ball on the fairway. Visually the course looks very good. The electronic screen on the cart did not work very well to the touch. Hopefully that is just an isolated problem.
