Wonderful lake, and the surrounding area worth exploring. We went in the winter, so we didn't go in, but just got to know the general area, which was great.

Great trail one mile there and back to car strategically located with trail to and from distillery and brewery. Highly recommend integrating both sites.

Staying at the Sherwood Inn, it is an easy 4 mile drive along the west side of Lake Skaneateles. We went in specifically to get a bottle and take it outside for those beautiful views of the hillside vineyard and the lake. There are so many different places here to sit and enjoy their wine that when we saw a what looked like rain coming, we went inside to a loft area with a window looking out over the property. Our bottle was a very good blend of Riesling, Chardonnay and Cayuga White called Avail.
They have a music stage and host the Skaneateles Festival each August. This vineyard is unique to the other Finger Lake vineyards, since it is so much higher in elevation other Finger Lakes Vineyard's vines have to be buried to protect them from the colder temperatures.

Chris and staff were beyond welcoming and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the bourbon, whiskey, gin and moonshine we tasted. I've never been one that's into sipping bourbon, whiskey, etc but it's now clear that I wasn't trying good stuff until we found Last Shot. Can't wait to get our bottles home!

The parking area is very small. Not well maintained and it can be slippery. We went after rain and the ground was wet. A but dangerous if you are not used to nature trails. Definitely not for families with younger kids. Great fall and it's well worth the visit.

Stunning! If you want to walk down to the river, it’s quite a few steps down, but not too bad. Would recommend water shoes for kiddos.

Hudson school painter’s private collection preserved in the annex to the town library. Gorgeous historic landscapes covering all the walls. A knowledgeable volunteer was quite helpful. It’s a small space packed with art. Free admission and worth a brief stop while you are in Skaneateles.

Super beautiful park to walk through with my family and my dog while exploring the lake and the town. Great place to find some shade on a hot day to cool off as well.

Great place to visit on sunny day in October. It was our first time to visit Skaneateles. What a quaint little town bordering Lake Skaneateles. Not crowded and a peaceful place to sit on a bench and drink in the beautiful surroundings.

What a cool place to visit and chill. So glad we took the drive from Aurora. Great outdoor seating area, even with the chill in the air... they have fire pits! Definitely a must-do in the Finger Lakes!
