Fun way to spend a morning. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We enjoying panning for marine fossils and arrowheads and a round of putt putt. Great way to spend a couple hours.

Very nice and relaxing experience. Stopped in for an hour or so and got a good parking spot in the shade. There were restrooms but I never used them. I sat on the bench in front if the Lillie pads, due to a sore knee, while my spouse/pup walked around the lake. I enjoyed the lake and got some great pictures! It was a nice place and will definitely visit again.

    The blowing rock

    Not much wind today.

Warm and calm. What I like about this place is that everything is close. You don’t have to climb a steep hill or cross a deep river. Simple.

    Beautiful rock! Good shop.

    Awesome pictures!

    Highly recommended

This is a wonderful trail just on the side of the town. You feel like your deep into the woods. I was a wonderful hike downhill to see the falls

We stopped and picked up food for a picnic and went to the Price Park picnic area. It's a small area but beautiful area. The picnic area is on the edge of the babbling creek. Relaxing peaceful area to spend some time whether you're traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway or if you're wanting to get outside of town and into nature.

This is my go to place to ski in the NC mountains. Yes, I know Beech & Sugar have more and longer runs, but they also have a ton more people. Longest I've waited in the lift line at App is 10 minutes, compared to 30-45 minutes at Sugar & Beech. Less people also equals less idiots screaming down the hill at full speed and running into you. Yes, I've seen this at both Sugar and Beech. Both of those are good during the week, but for a weekend trip, App is the only way to go. Easy in and out. Close to Blowing Rock and Boone.

Don't let the name fool you! This is not your typical "memorial" park with swingsets, picnic tables and grills. It's a fabulous combination of a massive historic home, apple orchards, lakes, streams, pastures, wildlife and rolling hills. The carriage paths are easy on old joints and bones. I always wind up with fabulous photos.

We had a great time at Mystery Hill. I definitely want to go back with my older grandchildren. I thought the guy leading the tour was a bit over the top with how he portrayed everything, but we still had a good time. Still can figure out how it is all done, yes I have read information online, but it was still very weird the way you feel when you get in the main room.

This is a beautiful small private museum in Blowing Rock, NC. The exhibits change frequently and are generally very good to excellent. The current “Gifted” exhibit is exceptional. There is a good little film regarding the history of Blowing Rock which is a nice introduction for visitors to the town. For a small town private museum that is free to the public to have the quality of exhibits that BRAHM has is really remarkable.

We ate here twice .... once for dinner ordering the Bison burger and green beans, both of which were really tasty, and the second time for lunch, ordering the soft pretzels and beer cheese and the tuna sandwhich, both of which were tasty as well. I had the Blowing Rock Cloud Rise Hazy IPA both times.
