- Lisa C1 contributionThe ghost tour was just the right mix of history, legend, and a little humor. My friend and I really enjoyed it. It was a great conclusion to our day's activities.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DandR5153Holly Springs, NC74 contributionsWe had a great time with Jessica learning about this little town that has so much to offer. The restaurants we visited were so good we would eat at each one again on our own! The wine bar was a lot of fun. This tour is great for families; some walking but not too much for a hot summer day! If you ever do a tour with Taste of Carolina, pick this one first!Written 30 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carl JHomer Glen, Illinois, United States28 contributionsI most recently traveled to the Barefoot Contessa's Paris, France photography workshop. Their workshops are appropriate for a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels, as the groups are kept to a small size with as much individualized attention as you could want. Margo and Arnie offer wonderful expertise, and indeed, often will provide differing perspectives which is very helpful because there is never an "answer key" to photography. Days are jam-packed with time for the photography itself, but so much more such as daily sit-down critiques with peers as well as with Margo and Arnie - these hands-on critiques are possibly the most valuable part of the experience, and much is learned in these positive-based but candid sessions. Margo and Arnie are terrific at teaching while at the same time making things just plain fun. By pre-scouting the sites, the participants miss the time-costly trial-and-error sessions of finding the best times of day for each site visited. The proof of the pudding is the ever-expanding group of alums that they attract year after year. I have been to the Palouse in Washington State, Joshua Tree, and Colorado with them, and have made many friends as a result. VERY highly recommended!!!Written 16 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
