An ancient majestic wall overlooking the Han river, it currently encloses a walking street and could thus be crowded during holidays. One of my favorite places to be in Xiangyang.

This is a very popular spot for local families, and the occasional, teenage couple, to visit and enjoy nature. The location is very pleasing with views of nearby hills.

There are ponds and water features in several locations.

There are park maintenance personnel constantly sweeping and picking up litter so it continues to look clean regardless of how many visitors there are.

Our hotel Xian Bell tower just across a very busy traffic ( chaotic drivers! lol ) roundabout .. its recommended to use the underground pedestrian tunnel walkways , so it was very convenient also to shopping centre but the tower itself is a splendor for its appearance and history , worthwhile to see this trip was taken in 2014, so the visit date below is wrong ( it had to be filled in )

The temple is an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. Just over the bridge from the city you can walk there or catch a cab. The landscaping is also wonderful and well tended. With an entry cost of 25¥, it's not too bad considering that it's in need of some renovations.

A Perfect place to visit for good atmosphere and silent surroundings. I would have spent more time if it wasn't for a business meeting.
Next time I will bring my family to spend quality time with them in the park.

Very nice , inside and out , is better if you ready or hire a tour guide before you go , so much to see great atmosphere .... You will need more than 2 hours and cost almost 10 usd to get in and 5 more to go out at the tower.

This is the Main Street in the old town just inside the city gate. The fronts of the shops must be in the original ancient style so it is very pleasing to stroll down.

There are many tourist shops here, some of better quality than others. I purchased some jade and an antique bronze bell from one of the better shops. There are also food vendors.

This is worth a stroll and some window shopping if you are in the city.
