- PKinNBWoodstock, Canada173 contributionsI explored this stunning work of Nature by bicycle on a perfect late Summer day. I started in St Martins and rode into the Park that way. The road is smooth and wide, easy to navigate with any road bike, and the cars I met were very respectful. The views are spectacular and the hills are, too! You will love the downhill runs, and the climbs will awaken your inner Tour de France rider. The many overlooks and halts offer matchless vistas and a spectacular spot for a cooling drink. Make sure you take enough water, because you will need it! I stopped at the Salmon River Interpretive Centre and got some extra. I rode to the East Gate and beyond, which showed about 42.5 km on my odometer. I recommend this ride to anyone in decent condition with a suitable bike. Go there and enjoy! - hayleaaz4 contributionsThe view was gorgeous, we went about 2 hours before low tide was scheduled to be at its lowest. We had read reviews beforehand & were worried that we would not be able to access the caves unless we were there exactly at the time of low tide but that wasn’t at all the case. It wasn’t as busy at the time we went, either, as it was when the tide was expected to be at its lowest (we drove by). I just recommend bringing sandals or some shoe that can get wet because there were a few tiny streams & sea grass along the rocks.Written 28 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann MMoncton, Canada6 contributionsGreat tour gave a glimpse of the shipbuilding history and a lot of detail about covered bridges. The museum showcases artifacts that make the community distinctive.Written 31 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurie117 contributionsVery quaint tourist/fishing town. We had a nice meal, walked on the rock/sand shore and visited a few shops. Unless you’re renting a cabin or home and just want to fish and read, it’s truly a few hour day visit destination.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NCtravelzRaleigh, NC1,747 contributionsWe went on a foggy day which was pretty interesting. The fog horns are super loud. Not the most beautiful but very accessible. About 5 minutes from parking area. No one else was there.Written 10 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DT-PEI497 contributionsWith the lack of rain this summer, the falls were not the feature to be seen. Rather, the view of the Gorge from the new lookoff was spectacular. Although the trail is defined as "Easy", there is a short ladder section that for the descent is not easy. But for other than a very short section through the woods at the start, the rest of the trail is graveled and easy. And the view is worth it. You walk out to an elevated platform from which you can see down the Little Salmon River valley to the Bay, and across the Gorge to where perhaps in the spring, there are falls.Written 24 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Edwin FCalgary, Canada1,742 contributionsWe drove across the Hardscrabble bridge a couple of times. All newly renovated but still interesting.Written 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NHjoSaco, ME13,760 contributionsThis bridge was recently renovated and now has two lanes. It's one of the few covered bridges in the Maritimes with two lanes. It was still unpainted wood when I went. It's nice, but being from New England, I'm used to historic and very quaint covered bridges, so I'm a little biased.Written 3 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ronald LDenver, CO2,934 contributionsVisited St Martin’s. Old, covered bridge was 2 x 10’s. New one is 1 x 6’s. Bow of work boats rests on cradle when tide out. Lobster fishing is two seasons. Must catch in trap. Only keep males. Also fish for scallops here. Old lighthouse has been moved into the village and is now a visitor's center.Written 17 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME13,760 contributionsThis classic wooden church is located at Baines Corner, right before you get to Saint Martins Beach and harbour, sea caves, and a few shops and restaurants. It's one of the prettiest country churches I saw during my road trip throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I found out that the church was rebuilt in 1900 after it burned down. Its architecture is simple, with its tower offset to a corner instead of in the center like most Catholic church towers. It also has a circa 1847 cemetery to the side and rear of it that was established with the original church.Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DougNew Brunswick, Canada1 contributionI stopped in here on a whim as I was heading out of St. Martins towards Sussex, and am certainly glad that I decided to check this place out...Wow! It's a beautiful shop inside a gorgeous home overlooking the village and Bay of Fundy, and its full of great locally made items - cool art, wearables, bath stuff, pottery, wood craft, jewelry, and loads more. I found the prices are very reasonable too compared to other places I've shopped for hand crafted items.
The owners are really nice people and I was happy to find some new organic tea and coffee to try out, a cool hand-made coffee mug, a beautiful necklace for my wife (and she loves it!), and a few other items. I will certainly be back the next time I'm in St. Martins. Highly recommend this shop for those who appreciate locally crafted goods and art.Written 20 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Deck would be awesome if it was larger.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
