We had the best experience ever on the Chichen-Itza day trip. Our guides Norma and Miguel were absolutely incredible in every way and made it an experience we will never forget. It meant a lot to us that the tour is led by indigenous Mayan people themselves. Norma is a true professional and historical expert. She speaks perfect English, was extremely helpful and outgoing, and just such a treasure in every way. Her passion for her culture and history, as well as sharing her personal story and even teaching us about Mayan language, was truly special and touching. We had an awesome day visiting the ruins and learning SO much about the incredible history. There is a guided tour portion and then free time to take pictures, explore and shop. After this, we headed to visit a cenote for swimming and lunch buffet. The food was decent. Finally we stopped by Valladolid which was touristy but very interesting to see a colonial town, in contrast from the other parts of Yucatán.
A few tips: Chichen-Itza is stunning but it’s PACKED with tourists and extremely hot so be prepared with sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, sunglasses and face mask. We wore flip flops and it’s a bit dusty walking around but wasn’t a problem at all since it’s not much walking overall. Be sure to also bring cash to buy some souvenirs, for your Chichen-Itza entry fee, and please be sure to tip your guides and driver, since they work so hard to take good care of you. Also no issues with pick up and drop off. They did their best to make it as smooth as possible.
The ride there and back is pretty long, and overall it’s quite a long day. But it’s so worth it. The bus is extremely comfortable. We felt very safe and in good hands the whole time. This is an unforgettable, must-see experience! I cannot recommend it enough. I would give this 100 stars if I could.

Totally worth the tour as we were able to witness one of the wonders in the world. Chichen Itza was truly an amazing place and the Cenote was the best among other Cenotes I have been to. Huge thanks to Marco (our tour guide) who made our day and Rodriguez (Our English tour guide at Chichen Itza) was a Local Mayan who knew almost everything about it and the details worth a fortune. Wish I had a recorder to record those stories and explanations  . Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a great experience through My Quest Concierge Private Tours. From the moment I booked the tour, communication was impeccable. Fernanda and Irlanda were very friendly, very transparent, and communicated clearly and timely.

JP was our guide and we happened to have a great driver too, Hever. They were flexible and catered to our schedule needs. JP was by far one of the best tour guides we have ever had, and we learned so much. It's a bit of a drive to Chechen Itza, but the time flew by and I felt like the time in the car was put to good use as he talked to us about the cultures, wildlife, music, history, and basically anything else we asked about Mexico. Even as the driver, Hever shared some really interesting things with us too and we could tell he would also be a great tour guide to have.

When we finally got to Chechen Itza, we had a thorough tour of the historical sites. You can tell that it is something JP is very passionate about. There is so much Mayan history that archaeologists/anthropologists are still uncovering, and JP had some of the latest findings to share with us that made the tour that much more interesting.

Lunch was easily our best meal in Mexico, and Valladolid and the Cenote were great experiences also. The cenote was very beautiful, clean, and safe.

If you're going back and forth between a private tour and a cheaper group tour, I'd say the extra that you will pay for the private tour will be well worth it. They made sure we were comfortable and happy, and we learned so much more from our tour guides than all of our other activities in Mexico. They gave us so much more of an incentive to return to Mexico than our resort did. We would love to take a tour with them again!

The experience was wonderful! We booked it the day before they contacted us via WhatsApp and was very communicative.
The cenote’s are beautiful and they explain about the history of chichen itza on the bus as well as on the site.

Some cons were , the guide explained both in Spanish and English , but explanation in English was much concise so it was a little hard to understand.
And the trip does run a lil longer than said , but this is understandable it mostly depends on factors like time everyone takes to see the place, traffic etc

Pros: everything was as described on the itinerary, the bus was clean and they provided a small breakfast and a delicious lunch . Communicative and pickup from hotel and drop off was good .

I definitely recommend this trip mainly cause both these cenotes are reallly really beautiful.

Had an amazing Chichen Itza full day trip today with our tour guide Luigi and driver Adam! Luigi was very knowledgeable and passionate about the job. He was friendly and made us feel comfortable while being very attentive and caring. He made sure we do enjoy the trip and learn as much as possible. After Chichen Itza we went for a lunch which was amazing! Loved the food and the town center was very pretty. After that we visited Xux-ha cenote and it felt unreal. He gave us enough time to enjoy ourselves and took lots of great pictures of us with an immense patience and dedication! Thank you Luigi and Adam(our driver) for the smooth ride and the wonderful time!!

Frank was our guide and Luna was our driver. They are very friendly, informative, and helpful. You could tell Frank is very passionate about Mayan history and culture. There are a lot of activities but it felt like a good amount of time for each one except the cenote which was a little fast. Make sure to get down there as quickly as possible to make the most of your time. Chichen Itza is very hot bring lots and lots of water, an umbrella, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for after swimming. The clothes you wore at Chichen Itza are going to be damp and sweaty. Diego was our guide at Chichen Itza and he was great. Would highly, highly recommend!

Claudia was amazing; friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile. The private option is a bit pricey but means you get there early, have the place to yourself for a while, and go at your own pace. They even dropped me off at the airport afterwards. Lunch in a small town was amazing.

Given the current restrictions in place sure to COVID-19, this was a good trip. In total, we spent:

    * 2h at the Mayan community market for souvenir shopping and lunch
    * 1.5h at Chicken Itza walking around the ruins with an expert guide
    * 50min at Cenote Saamal for a quick dip in the water
    * 35min at Valladolid city center for shopping, but it was already the end of business hours.

We hoped on the bus in Tulum at 10am and got back at 8:30pm. It was a total of 4h 55min of activities and 5h 35min on the bus. Folks staying in Cancun had an extra 5h of transport. All the guides were super knowledgeable and told us about Mayan history and culture in between sites.

The visit to Chichen Itza was spectacular, and because of COVID-19, groups are limited to 10 pp, so everybody can hear what the guide is saying. We also were allowed to stay for 1.5h, to avoid crowds on site.

The cenote was quite beautiful, but we were too tired to do all the swimsuit flipflop by then, so we just walked around and had some ice cream.

We got to Valladolid by 6:15pm, so most galleries was already closing, including the chocolate museum. We were able to chomp a churros and but some coffee, but could have used more than 35min to walk around.

It's a good trip and I recommend it for folks leaving from Tulum. Not sure if I'd have enjoyed if I had to leave from Cancun, I'd probably try something more direct like renting a car. At the end, I felt that the trip was a bit too heavy on the shopping side (at the Mayan community) and we could have arrived at Valladolid a bit earleir.

The tour of Chichen Itza was excellent - our guides got us to the ruins early so that we didn't have to wait in line. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in the history and archeology of the site.

The cenote was beautiful and cool, a great midday stop to cool off and relax.

Las Coloradas was disappointing, mainly because it was a cloudy day that dulled the color. Fortunately there were dozens of flamingos to see, so that was pleasant.

The car ride back was very long (three hours), so be warned there. Fortunately they provided tablets to watch videos on the way back, which was a nice touch.

The van was clean and comfortable, and our driver was skilled at navigating the bumpy roads. Would absolutely recommend this tour for someone interested in combining these three sites in a single day.

It was a great time, our guide, Francisco, was very kind, informational, and funny. From the pickup at the hotel, the cenote (which was so much fun), to Chichen Itza. Value was worth the experience. Only note is, it is a FULL DAY event. Starts at 7am, and if you are lucky you will be back at 8pm, so don't plan anything unless it is after 9pm.

Finding the check-in location was very confusing and we had a hard time locating it…. The directions need to be more clear… I was just emailed a picture of a store front and told the Isla shopping mall…. so defiantly arrive early,so your not left behind… there’s also a 30$usd tax you have to pay on the day not included in the tour….but after that the trip was great! We had a long drive till our first stop; we were greeted with a shaman and learned some local culture, bought some local black obsidian stones and trinkets before being served a buffet style lunch, then we made our way to the ruins and had a 1hr tour and 1hr self guided tour. We then left and drove to the cenotes, they were very commercial and had a lot of tourist waiting there turn to plung Into the cenote, but it was still beautiful! Then we went to a small town for some snacks before heading back to cancun and even got dropped off back at our hotel, I would recommend bringing pesos for trinkets and tipping. It was over all a great day for the price .

Our tour guides were friendly and informative. My fiancé and I really enjoyed learning about Mayans on the journey.

The lunch was really nice after a little walk around their shop, there were a few little moments of up-selling on the tour but it’s all optional, expected and there’s no pressure to purchase anything.

Chichen Itza was great with a guide. Lots of helpful information and then time to walk around yourselves and take any photos you’d like. The stalls all over the place trying to sell things was an irritation but that’s not the fault of the tour operator by any means.

The Cenote was a highlight, it was a bit of a shame that there are some small extra costs like hiring locker and life vests (which are compulsory anyways) but it was still a fantastic experience. Just make sure you bring extra cash for the day, also for things cold drinks.

Valladolid was very nice to visit although we would’ve liked a little more time. You only have 30mins to walk round, look in any shops, grab a bite from the market which isn’t very long.

The downside to journey was travel time unfortunately. The tour is described as 12hrs but we didn’t anticipate all the other hotel pickups on route, with us being one of the first. In total we must’ve spent 10hours on minibus/coach, which was extended through no fault of tour operator by a tyre that deflated on our coach and then the engine of the minibus we switched to giving up one stop from our hotel which meant an additional delay.

So the reason for not giving five stars was transparency on additional costs albeit they were small, and transparency specifically on how you expect to travel dependent on your resorts location for pickup so you can plan and be mentally prepared for a journey. However all the experiences were as described and we got out of the trip what we wanted which was good. I’m sure we will only remember the great memories and forget about the very long hours travelling in years to come.

This tour was wonderful. The company stayed in constant communication with us while we were waiting for bus to arrive to pick us up from a central location. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! It’s very hot so make sure you bring proper clothing and sunscreen. We loved the second cenote and stopping in Valladoid. No high pressure sales from our guide to but things from vendors, just the normal style when wandering on your own. It’s a long day so just be prepared for that, got home around 9.
