Charming museum, with an enjoyable hunt for kids. Volunteer staff were very welcoming, Jon in particular was very friendly and helpful.

This should have been on my bucket list. I enjoyed walking along it twice in my 4 day break. The Street is a natural phenomenon: a raised sand bank at low tide to walk along. At its apex you can see the overlapping tides meeting. I loved it

This picturesque town with harbour views and a lovely seafront, has a lot to offer on its shopping streets too. Various shops to suit all tastes, cafes, restaurants etc. There are lots to choose from and a visit is well worth the time and effort

We explored the garden in the mid-April and the flowers weren’t blooming. As the castles garden are quite small, you can count 10/15 minutes to visit all the gardens, which, I wouldn’t recommend for a afternoon activity.

We saw KinderTransport by The Canterbury Players! Perfect performance.. so glad this is all back on after covid!

This theatre is definitely a hidden gem at an amazing price! Thank you

This was a great place to let the dog off for a blast with his ball for 45 mins - 1hr.

Had been searching g for places to let him do this and come across it. There is no parking which is ridiculous, am guessing it’s mainly for the local community.

That aside if you take off to the left (depending where you are coming from) opposite side of the road from where at least two of the entry points are into residential estates you may find somewhere to park which is what I did on two occasions.
The main road is Borstal Hill.

Purely for dog exercise or stretching your own legs for a bit nothing else there. However if weather bad wear welly’s it gets muddy quickly.

Very breezy coincided, with a high tide made for an interesting walk on the shingle and across to the Lifeboat station. With the tide pressing against the beach groynes , creating some spectacular waves driven by the wind.
