The ferry goes often; we didn't have to wait and there was plenty of room for us to sit! We enjoyed the ride!!!

Well run even after Covid. At the window I would recommend Mary. She is spunky, informative, and know guest service. Ships leave on time. Very organized getting people on and off.

I won tickets so 4 of us piled in the car and drove 4 1/2 hours to check it out. It was chilly that day so quite a few of the animals in the walk thru park weren't out. The drive thru part was so much fun, I think we laughed almost the entire time. The car vacuum at the end is a game changer! Our ticket only included 1 cup of food so we bought extra (I think it was about $25) so everyone had a cup. All the staff members were friendly. Everyone got a ride on the camel and fed the giraffes which was cool. The aviary was closed due to bird flu concerns.

We found this place as we like to check out different breweries. Very unique and fun environment. Gorgeous views and good beer! We didn’t eat, but would during our next visit.

This is a really nice aviation museum. So much to see and the people are super great! Jennifer at the desk knows everything you need to know about the museum. We got to visit with several boat and aviation restoration experts. Thanks!!

This is a great place to get the kids out of the house on a cold day
Even tho this is a summer place they have a new indoor zoo
You can buy food and feed the animals.
    We spent about an hour.
We happened to be the only ones at the time.
I think it is a gem of a place to build around one more place to make an outing
The staff was great. It is very clean.

This was in walking distance of the house we rented. Picnic tables on the shoreline made for a nice place to watch the sunset. Nice little play area for the kids. Seemed to be mostly for people to launch boats. A little wading - no swimming.

Perfect little park to visit for a picnic. There is not much to see but it would be a nice place if you had kids or pets with you.

We arrived at Lakeview Park in the early afternoon on a relaxing, sunny summer day. The parking lots were easily accessible from both Perry Street (Route 163) on the north and Ash Street on the west! Plenty of parking spots were available for us! At first, we sat on a rustic wooden bench with quaintly twisted boards!! After brushing away a few mayflies, well-known locally for their abundance, and avoiding an item or two left by a bird, we sat down to enjoy the view of scenic Lake Erie obscured by a brick wall in front of the beach. The majestic Davis-Besse nuclear power plant, one of only two nuclear power plants in Ohio, stands tall and proud in nearby Oak Harbour, with picturesque plumes of what one would hope is radiation-free steam ascending heavenward! The Jet Express ferry can be seen transporting thrilled sight-seers quickly back and forth between Port Clinton and Put-In-Bay. To avoid sea sickness it may be helpful to limit your alcohol consumption before you board. Of course, if you do feel a little queasy you can always lean over the rail and let things take care of themselves! After a while, we got up to investigate a little flower garden located on the northwest corner of the park. Most notable is a statue of a little girl walking two dogs and carrying an American flag! The girl, with an anxious smile and worried brows, has become tangled in the dogs' leashes. The flag may very well have been added by a visitor. Nonetheless, the statue provokes thoughts in us such as “what does this mean?”, “who decided to put this here?” and “why did they put it here?” The garden also houses a painted-rock exchange! My companion and I had never heard of such a thing before and were completely delighted with it. Imagine being able to trade painted rocks with complete strangers! Next, we noticed what appeared to be a gathering of Amish sitting in a pavilion, enjoying a delicious homemade meal with each other. Although we had a strong desire to interrupt their quiet commune and learn more about their fascinating culture, we did not! They didn’t look like they would have been comfortable with such an intrusion, especially the men, who were pretty big!!! After this, we thought about crossing Route 163 to check out the beach, but we remembered what Keith B of Wayne, Michigan had written: “the water is a bit murky.” Since both of us have a fairly low murk tolerance we decided to pass on that and head for a much-needed visit to the restroom facilities! On the way, we were fortunate enough to get a glimpse of beach haute couture. A dazzling beach enthusiast sporting faded camouflage shorts, a leopard skin print shirt, white athletic socks, and grayish off-brand shoes was making a scene by the crosswalk signal. The restroom facilities were the sole low point of our visit. If I were to rate them on their own they would be getting 2.5 stars out of 5 possible. I don’t want to cavil, but I will say that the toilet seats in the men’s bathroom could have been cleaner and the sinks in the women’s bathroom were clogged with mayflies, wriggling in their death throes or dead!!! Located within easy walking distance from the toilets a free library box bursting with contemporary novels, books on CD, and some inspiring religious pamphlets for those having a crisis of faith. Also worth noting are Mickey’s Smoke Shop (with Beer Cave) and a popular playground. The smoke shop is not in fact a part of the park but is conveniently located to the east of the park for anyone needing a quick butt or a cool brew! The playground we did not visit. We drove past it on our way out. But, I did see plenty of kids enjoying the monkey bars and a miniature version of the impressive Port Clinton Lighthouse! I hope this review has been helpful and will encourage people to visit Lakeview Park!!!

I've been going on their headboats at least once a year for about 5 years. I take fishing way too seriously sometimes and get cranky when not catching. The fact that they haven't thrown me overboard yet is a testament to their patience, professionalism and kindness (they're funny too!)

Make sure to stop on your next trip to Catawba Island! Small brewery with good brews. No kitchen but they did have a food truck. Large patio with plenty of yard games and room.

If you want to know more about Catawba Island, this is the place to go and spend some time. It's a small museum, but there are new exhibits every year and it's free. Local historians are always there to answer questions and tell about the history described in the exhibits. Worth the trip to learn something more about the area

This quaint museum is rather a challenge to find as it is off the main trail in Port Clinton. They are located across from the Port Clinton Ida Rupp Library on Third St. You may not always find them open, but if you call the number on the door they could set up a time to meet you.
The Ottawa County museum is full of interesting history for all you buffs. Its a great stop on a rainy or windy day.

It was good and not so good. Easy to find, park right at door. Pack your lunch. Can go in and out in a snap. Animal park was fun. $15 for bucket of food, expensive, but a large bucket. You can feed everything. And they have plenty of animals. All looked healthy, but are mostly enclosed. Animal area is only 3 years old so nice and clean. We didn't pay full price for tickets though. Get them off Groupon for 15.95 Mega pass. It's 40 at the Park! Went into other area after. Bumper boats hardly worked and area was small. We loved the go-carts though. Unlimited rides with Mega pass. The water park area was a huge disappointment. We had a 3 year old and there was nothing he cold do but play in the pool. Water slides continually poured buckets on your head and he did not like that. He was too small for other 2 speed slides. Lazy river was slow and boring. Only went once. Have seen much better. Also, no Good changing Area! Had to change in the bathroom stall or shower stall! That was very offensive to me and very hard with small kids. If you can, come in suits with a cover-up. No need to rent lockers, keep bag by the chairs around pool. Nobody used locker [$5] but me for my keys. Do dry stuff first then waterpark. I wouldn't visit again, but if you are in the area and it's 80 degrees your kids may enjoy pool. We didn't.
