This place is a hidden gem. There is probably more to do here than you will think and it’s at least a half day visit. The entrance price is also very good value as you can return for free within 12 months.

The mine buildings themselves contain the history and information on the mine and tin mining production across Cornwall.

There is a tour of the old Mexico mine and then you can walk out onto the south west coastal path if you wish.

    A well recommended visit

One of the most beautiful places on the north coast of west Cornwall, shows of some of the heritage of the former tin mining industry with spectacular views of the rugged coast line…..

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. Diana gave us a very warm welcome, and showed us around the beautifully appointed cottage. Immaculate throughout. Every room so well designed. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
Cottage sits right next to the light house, and only a short walk to the SW coastal path. Excellent kitchen facilities.

This is a really nice beach, white sands crystal clear waters and the opportunity to spot seals and other sea life from the advantage point of the high cliffs and down on the beach. Its fantastic because its not that easy to get to down, steep rocky paths and a good walk make this beach quiet!

Once down be careful the currents are strong and the cliff face badly eroded I would not recommend sitting to close if you look at the precarious nature of it! No facilities, toilets or anything remotely touristy make this ideal for people who want a good adventure.

Expect a mix of clothed and un clothed beach goers.

My husband and I visited Pendeen lighthouse and as a gorgeous sunny day decided to leave the car and follow the coastal walk whereby we came across this small peaceful cove - what a find. We returned a couple of days later with a picnic- so peaceful and relaxing

Visited the Geevor Tin mine today and we spent all day there. The place is amazing and gives you a small insight as to what it must have been like . I found the Dry the most moving of all the exhibits as it was as if they had only just walked out. The underground mine was also very special as was the film shown in the cinema. A lovely cafe with great food as well. All in all a grand day out
