    Just wow
Lovely walk to the beach, not very hard to be honest, the only problem I had was getting back out up the dunes but other than that it was absolutely brilliant.
No other beach in the UK is this stunning and beautiful
Water was fresh and cold as you would expect from the north Atlantic
    Brilliant day

I was staying in the area, and decided to drop by. Glad I did! A car park for a few cars, and toilets, and then a short walk down to the beach. At about 9:30 on a weekday morning, I had it to myself...apart from a few cows. A stunning spot - well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Absolutely stunning beach with white sand and beautiful blue waters. We came down from the footpath on the right of the beach (from Sheigra Campsite) and the view walking down toward the beach was amazing. We took our shoes off and went for a little paddle even though the weather was pretty awful - it just looked so good! I would definitely recommend this beach - the only downside for me, was coming from the hills there appeared to be a dead whale washed up in the corner of the beach, that was mostly bones but had quite a strong smell (I suppose that might be interesting for some?) however it's easily avoidable, especially if you come from the direction of the car park!

We didn't know that this memorial existed, or anything about Robert McBeath VC until we came across it whilst out for a walk.
A very brave local man, who died tragically in Canada.
On the 20.11.1917, at the Battle of Cambrai, McBeath, Seaforth Highlanders, attacked 5 German machine gun nests, armed with only a Lewis Gun and a revolver, was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions that day.
Sadly in 1922, as a Policeman in Vancouver, Canada, he was killed (shot by a drunkard) whilst on duty. What a waste!
We learned a lot about this man and the area he came from and went to, all via this memorial site. A brave Sutherland man and a much revered fallen Canadian Policeman. RiP.
