- C.H.Quitman, TX11 contributionsThis is a great place to walk and see nature. The trails go forever and although there is no breeze in the summer months, there is lots of shade. Not ever very crowded and has a park for picnics and swings for the kids. Cranes, hogs, alligators, all kinds of wildlife and trees.Written 11 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DonePayingForPoorQualityDallas, TX143 contributionsI pride myself on being an animal rights activist. I was impressed that the enclosures were all clean and every animal was healthy. The owner educated the group on each and every animal; it was wonderful to hear her talk about the species’ behavior, conservation needs, why each animal is important to preserve, and the sweet details of each animal’s personality.
As an animal advocate, I am always wary of these places, as I’ve been to some that have the animalsliving in poor conditions.
I asked the owner lady to show me inside of every building, open every door, view every enclosures, view food preparation areas, storage areas, and sheds (because it was important to me that my money went to a place who cares about the animals. After reading the story about the bats, I was wary about coming here, but she was very transparent and open to show me everything. I was humbled and proven wrong about initial assumptions. Never assume. Always see for yourself.)
If anything, that incident was a one time mistake, and people can learn from mistakes. When you know better, you do better. That’s what I saw today. Each member of the human race is flawed. What I see here is a transparent person, who genuinely does care about animals, and is proactive in providing each wonderful animal with a clean, healthy, and enriched life.
I’m glad that I went to see this place and that my concerns were proved wrong. It was a wonderful experience and I will be visiting frequently.Written 1 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My favorite is the Guernsey Gold raw milk, but my wife and I have used most of the other products offered by Ris and Trenton. We love them both and their products are second to none. I don't visit as often because I now live alone and just don't use as much of the products as I used to. That doesn't change the fact that everything and everyone associated with Waldo Way is absolutely excellent. Just stopping in for a "visit" is worthwhile and the knowledge gained is invaluable. Thank you Ris, Trent and others on the farm for what you do.Written 11 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ken DMineola, TX11 contributionsWe stopped in for lunch at the All FAMOUS East Texas Burger and to our pleasant surprise, there was a whole other very nice restaurant called LaWaffalata AND this little hidden gem of a store LW Antiques -Vintage,Jewelry and Gift Store. This store literally had some of the most eclectic finds. Something for all women, men, as well as some handmade baby and children clothes. I am in love with this spot. I will DEFINITELY be back.Written 18 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
