What travellers are saying
- Lee LValhalla, NY1,920 contributionsThis is just a short drive from the Battlefield. For a small fee $8 you can take the elevator up the monument and see the area around. They have a couple of small exhibits in the base you can view before or after you go to the top. The also have statues and monuments to Colonel Stark and Colonel Warner on the grounds.Written 25 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lee LValhalla, NY1,920 contributionsWas in the area visiting the Battlefield and the Monument and stopped in. They only had a small exhibit with some artifacts from the battlefield. The big draw is the largest collection of Grandma Moses painting. The rest of the museum was okay, but the Grandma Moses and Battlefield exhibits were worth it.Written 27 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoyfulYoginiRockville, MD203 contributionsVery informative docents share great tidbits of history as you tour this lovely church. Unique Revolutionary Era architecture is worth the visit. Great insights into the spirit and lifestyle of the early settlers of Vermont. Plus the Robert Frost gravesite is nicely maintained and presented.Written 7 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They look alike but we enjoyed seeing them. The Paper Mill Bridge. The Henry Bridge.Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael AChesapeake, VA1,099 contributionsVery old cemetery filled with Vermont history. Quiet and peaceful when I was there. - Carol Ann JGermantown, NY1,783 contributionsWe enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the Park-McCollough home from the outside because it was not open at the time we were there. It was early and it had rained that night before so the grass was quite wet but that didn't stop us. Some day if we are in the area when the home is open we plan to take a tour.Written 9 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
