This is a long but terrific tour. Start to finish is 12 hours, but it’s an awesome way to see the highlights of the island and also learn history of Hawaii. Chris was our guide, and he was entertaining and informative. Highly recommend!

We had a great time and had the best tour guide ever, Hannibal, was very knowledgeable and patient. He took us through the tour and explained everything and even made us laugh with his jokes. Had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone.

This was a very good tour. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pilot did a great job being a tour guide, while flying. He was very informative and seemed experienced in flying. The ride was a bit bumpy and most of us left the helicopter feeling a little woozy. The scenery is amazing, and we would not have seen what we saw by just driving. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

Awesome visit with our tour guide, Jeff. Knowledgeable, well paced and the astounding views! The picnic dinner was good. The included jacket and mittens were really helpful as it was cold at night. The telescopes set up was pretty cool. Beautiful sunset and stars.

Wow! Amazing tour! Only rated this a five because it wouldn’t let me rate it a 6. Our pilot Shane was awesome! Once in a lifetime tour that I’ll always remember. I could do this tour everyday.

Amazing trip around the island. David G was an amazing tour guide - he was very accommodating, friendly, understanding yet stuck to the schedule and ensured we got to see everything ! He was super informative and spoke to us about his own personal Hawai’i journeys and knew everything about the island!! He had drinks, food , hot towels, flashlights etc

We had an awesome group and visited coffee, a bakery, volcano park, rainbow falls, wine tasting, and big island candies

I had such an amazing breathtaking stunning time and I was able to enjoy so many different things

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy this guided tour. Not only was Jill knowledgeable but is from Hilo and lived throug some of the eruptions she talks about. Her 1st hand experiences were really interesting to learn about. If you have never visited these places I highly recommend this tour. You won't regret it. A lot of the stuff she talks about you won't learn otherwise.

The 4 hour round trip from Kona is worth the $69.00 fee. The first 25 miles is a scenic view where you can see where lava once flowed. Once you hang a right, it’s 50 miles of boredom. Up the mountain, down the mountain until you come into Hilo.

As you maneuver through town, you’ll come upon 4+ miles of a tight single road back up into the mountain, albeit at 15mph.

Eventually, you’ll come to a gate, punch in the code given to you and pleasantly greeted by (Rachel).

There are 2 ways down to the waterfall. The rocky way or the longer way through the beautiful grounds (which I recommend, as it’s so much easier)

Pictures don’t do the waterfall justice. It is GORGEOUS. Space is limited so they don’t allow just anyone. There were 3 other couples there at 1:00 on a Sunday

There’s kayak rentals (if you want to get closer to the waterfall) It can be a bit rocky getting into the water so I recommend beach shoes.

It is paradise. Tranquil, clean. The water is a bit chillier than the ocean but you get used to it.

If you’re going to ask somebody to marry you, this would be a great place to do it.

Please make sure to fill out all the necessary paperwork ahead of time so you’re not wasting your time once you get there, as the timeslots are limited

Bring your own cooler for drinks and snacks. They have exceptionally clean bathrooms there.

Take the time to walk the grounds. There are two additional waterfalls below, great for taking pictures, complete with Buddha and amazing bamboo and landscapes for fantastic photographs

Dave Human was very knowledgable about the island. His memory for all kinds of entertaining facts about Hawaii and much more. You can tell that he really loves what he does. I would highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour company. Gary was a wonderful guide matching our interests to a customized itinerary perfect for our group of 6 adults. He was very helpful and responsive. We saw everything we wanted including the Volcano park, waterfalls, black sand beaches, plus a few extras like a local farmers market.

The itinerary was excellent and our guide David was wonderful. It was a long day but I enjoyed everything about the tour. We had some sunshine today and were able to see the volcano in all its splendor. Lunch at the Volcano House Rim Restaurant was tasty and the view was amazing. Our guide David was kind, patient, knowledgeable and sincere in his efforts to provide the best experience possible. I highly recommend this tour.

Andres was the best guide ever! He was flexible with our family needs and got to know us personally. Take the offer of the jackets and bring hats and gloves!! We made stops along the way to the top that Andres showed us all the key sights and helped us acclimate to the elevation. He had so much interesting information about the environment, local culture, and the observatories that he shared. He made sure we had plenty of time at the top and had a great stargazing session after. Highly recommend!
