We had a fantastic night! There was live music with Sarah the pianists and it was simply awesome. The staff created such a friendly and open space which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely come back again

We had to visit here - this is where gay liberation began. We found it friendlier and more pleasant during the day than at night. Drinks are expensive but I don’t really blame them for capitalising on the fame of the place. They also sell a good range of commemorative T shirts.

Apparently there is nothing left of the interior of the original bar where the riot took place (according to Wikipedia) but that shouldn’t detract from the history of the location. I was pleased to see that a museum is being created next door which should open in 2024. Also don’t miss the displays and statues in the park opposite.

We had a really great evening here on our last night in New York. Just wish we discovered it earlier! The manager was fab and so engaged with all the customers. Really couldn’t recommend it enough.

This used to be one of my husband's favorite bars, but has dropped off a bit for the past few months. He's a country western sort of man and taught me how to 2 step here. The front bartender got to know us that as soon as he saw us walk in he began making our drinks w/o having to ask. He's gone and are hoping to build that relationship back up with the new guy in that spot. Another change is that they play a lot of pop & rock music now. All the other bars in the city play that and we loved that this place was different. The boys still get on the bar and dance to songs throughout the night and the people there are nice & friendly. There's about half women which isn't an issue for us, but is for some.

This place has been here for. a long time and attracts a very diverse crowd interested in music , drink bling and talk. Located in mid block it offers a nice alternative spot for everyone to enjoy some good live music and some drinks.

This is a great place! The bar guys are super nice and the dance floor is good. It can get a little busy but that’s what you want really makes the evening just that little more exciting.

Always a good time! Drinks were decent & the very young 20-30-ish crowd increased to a manageable size after 10. The sound system, however, was problematic at first, but the DJ eventually worked it out. As for the pool table, it would help if it was properly balanced so it didn't have to be tipped to retrieve balls & moved all the way to the back so that we could shoot pool all night.

I have been going to Industry for many years with my friends. I moved out of the city and when I was visiting this past weekend, I decided to go back with a friend who was also in town.

I am a mid-30's woman and I do not flatter myself that I do not LOOK mid-30's. I am never carded anymore when going into bars, buying alcohol, etc. because I look like a somewhat older woman. That is just fact.

The other fact is that I have, never in my life, owned a fake ID.

When I arrived (completely sober, for context-- I did not have one drink that evening yet), the bouncer was yelling at someone, but I ignored it and both my friend and I produced our IDs. My ID is a state driver's license and I just flew across the country with it, so it is good enough for the TSA.

The bouncer's ID machine for some reason said "possible fake ID detected." I honestly almost laughed when he said it-- I thought he was joking, again, because I look older and am clearly not under 21.

When I realized he was serious, I said, "This is my driver's license, it isn't something I can fake." He started literally YELLING at me that I was lying, that I could tell him it was real all I wanted but it wasn't, and other nonsense about my lies/my trying to give him a fake ID.

He was becoming increasingly belligerent and honestly it was scaring me. He was a large man and as a woman, having a man screaming in my face felt threatening.

I said fine, we will leave, and please give me my ID back. He started yelling that it was his right to confiscate my fake ID, and he physically withheld my ID from me, refusing to give it back.

I almost started crying, because I was visiting from out of state, and without my ID, it would be unsafe for me to drive the nearly four hours home in case I was pulled over for some reason. Not to mention, I had no way to get my ID back since I was supposed to be leaving town the next morning. I tried giving him my school ID from my graduate program, because he said my credit cards, health insurance card, or any of the other myriad amounts of cards with my name on it weren't valid enough for him to give me my ID back.

Perhaps because I was getting emotional, he finally did give me my ID back saying I "wouldn't be so lucky next time" and I needed to get my ID checked because there was something wrong with it.

Again, I just flew across country and my ID was good enough for the TSA. Sorry it wasn't good enough for Industry. I was about to go and spend a good amount of money and have a good time with my friend, but I will NEVER, ever go back to this place. There are plenty of gay bars up and down 9th ave and there's no reason to spend money at a place that will treat you like total trash, threaten you, and be unnecessarily belligerent and make you feel unsafe just because they're on some kind of power trip.

I came here last night with my son and a friend of his. I was
EASILY the oldest person there, but everyone was lovely and welcoming from the bar staff to the DJ and the patrons as well. I would highly recommend this club. Thanks for the great memories….

I visited here with some friends when holidaying in NYC. Back home we have so many laws and regulations that it takes the fun out of partying, so to see naked guys walking around was kinda cool and liberating from our perspective. The guys here are looking for a hookup but you can easily lead the way to what you want out of your night.
The upstairs is like a normal bar but the down stairs has a dark section where sex on premise is permitted with lots of guys simply watching while copping a groap or feel of each other they are standing near.
Drinks are reasonably priced. 2x vodka soda and a carona coming to $20. There are go go boys dancing for tips with hands on permitted for extra dollars which some guys were quite happy to keep topping the money belt up.
Was an ok experience to say we've been here and it makes us realise how much of a nanny state we live in back home in Australia. It was a good night out.

Clubby piano bar in Livingroom environment. Bar tenders were friendly as were the those that gathered.. There are 2 rooms one of which has a grand piano piano. Lovely environment to meet people and have cocktails. Based upon New York prices drinks were reasonably priced. Evening we were there someone was celebrating a birthday so a bit crowded but we were able to snatch a spot at the bar. A good spot to meet locals.

Upon approach, in the very dark meat packing district, is a simple sign that reads, "HELL". Once inside you have to allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness. HELL is surprisingly comfortable and cozy with its velvet curtains, abundance of candles and campy celebrity photos with horns or halos (who decided?). The staff is fun and attentive, the music is loud and bumping and the drinks are amazing... This is one of my favorite destinations in NYC...So, if someone in NYC tells you to go to HELL...do it!
