We watched a blues act here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Be warned that this is a very intimate venue. It is split into three “venues” within the venue. The one we were in had something like 40 people jammed in. As for value for money, we payed 150 USD for 2 drinks each, some chicken strips, french fries and some guacamole and chips. There was a 20 USD pp cover charge. Value for money? Depends on your perspective…

    WOW!

This place is just tooooo much fun! I haven’t been here in … well… lets say, a LONG time but it was just as much fun as I recall back in the day.

The sing-a-longs were riotously fun with very talented singers/pianists and Mede each guest laugh all night as we enjoyed cold adult beverages and sang right along!

If you want this fun time, by all means beat a path to the Duplex in The Village!

Multi-talented musicians who were also crowd pleasing comic entertainers + good selection of beers + very attentive wait staff + tasty food = one of the most fun evenings my wife and I have had in a long time. Bravo. The master of ceremonies really knew how to draw out the audience; so anyone who wasn't clapping, singing, or laughing along only has themselves to blame. I'd always heard that dueling piano bars were a hoot, and I'm glad I've finally knocked this off my bucket list.

The atmosphere and the service staff made this dinner special for us. I had the Beet Soup which was a meal in itself, full of lots of healthy vegetables. My main course Chicken Kiev was good. But you do not want to miss the desserts. Both of the pound cakes we had were special. I would recommend you make sure to try both the Medovik and Smetannik desserts - be sure to leave room for both of these. And you must also have a cup of Ruissian Samovar Tea to go along with it. The piano music was an added plus to make for a romatic dinner before attending Funny Girl just across the street.

This place has been here for. a long time and attracts a very diverse crowd interested in music , drink bling and talk. Located in mid block it offers a nice alternative spot for everyone to enjoy some good live music and some drinks.

Our best night in NYC. Been coming to New York once a year for the past decade and this place gave us the best night we've had here. The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting, which is created by the server and pianist.

Everyone is welcomed to come up on stage and the quality of singing doesn't matter, we had a variety of people getting up.

    Can't wait to go back!

We were drawn to the Balcony Bar by the sound of a string quartet. Having managed to secure a table, we had a pre-dinner snack while listing to the ETHEL quartet. This is a delightful experience available in the early evening on Fridays and Saturdays. Prices are on the high side, but if you like the music — contemporary classical yesterday (Saturday) — you will emphatically not mind paying. This is an urban oasis!

We had heard the Monkey Bar had been refurbished. We enjoyed cocktails and a lovely 3 course dinner in 1940s vintage Manhattan. Excellent food, drink, and service. Great murals on the walls capture glimpses of its storied history. Enjoy!

We were looking for another place when we came across this awesome piano bar. It is quaint. We had an amazing time. The wait staff sing and serve. Everyone that sang had amazing voices and they were very personable as well. We went 2 nights of our 3 night stay in NYC. If you go, I hope your experience is just as awesome! :)
