Terrific experience and comedians for a fair price. Laughed from the beginning to the end. Strongly recommend it during your stay in New York City.

Enjoyed our experience at Gotham Comedy Club. The five comics on the “All Stars” show were all funny. Great banter with the audience. It ended up being a quite expensive night out but nonetheless, we enjoyed it.

We took our teens (17 & 19) with us to see ASSSSCAT 3000. The show can get racy at times, but nothing they haven’t heard in an R-rated movie. We enjoyed the improv comedy, both for the laughs and because it was interesting to see how the comedians work through it. The price for tickets is right. They serve alcoholic drinks for a fair price. The neighborhood isn’t great.

Our first time here but a great one. Front of house staff are helpful and friendly. We went on a “new talent” night and saw somewhere between 10 and 15 comedians, each of whom had about 10-15 minutes each. They were hit or miss but overall, we had a great time seeing new talent.

The menu was quite varied and the service was excellent. The cake was excellent, and it wasn't too loud inside.

Enjoyed our experience at New York Comedy Club. The line up of comedians was really good. My only gripe was I felt sorry for the guy they put on towards the end who had to contend with the waitresses giving out the cheques at the same time he was performing. The poor bloke near on died on stage but not because he was in funny, because people were being rude and talking over him whilst they were trying to settle their bills. There must be a better way of getting everyone’s bills sorted out whilst allowing the act to continue

Huge shout out to the comics who performed the night I got to go. They were truly phenomenal. I've been to several comedy clubs, and most are worth a chuckle or two, but this place had us in stitches. I can't credit the mandatory booze you must purchase, either, since none of us could even taste the alcohol. So, 5000 stars for the entertainment; 0 stars for the horrible overpriced (non)alcoholic drinks.

Casual feel no need to dress up
Small venue. Comedians jump on stage right out of the audience.
Balance of men and women performers the night we were there.
    Close to train station.

    Could use better chairs.

I heard about this place and dropped by to see the Improv Jam which was like open mic night for improv people. I had a couple beers at the bar and enjoyed talking with Randy who was very sharp and was able to explain a lot about the Improv process. The Jam itself was just people working from a word given by an audience member. There were slow periods but there were some really funny moments and I enjoyed seeing people work at it. It was a very casual supportive environment and I had a good time.

The one show I watched wasn't amazing but the place has a good vibe and friendly staff. I came with my wheelchair hoping the place will be accessible and found it reasonably accessible for a short visit (don't think the bathroom was accessible).

My partner and I wanted to catch a comedy show on our trip to New York. We decided to go to the legendary comedy cellar and found a line a mile long! The bouncer said they were sold out for a week, so we checked on line for what other comedy shows were happening that night and found Lemonade. This is what new York’s about- up and coming creatives mixed with accomplished comics. We got to see all styles of comedy, and recognized one of the comedians from TV. The venue was top notch cabaret seating with NO DRINK MINIMUM! Every other comedy club we found had a two drink minimum, bringing the price up to $50 for a show. We enjoyed the full bar anyways and yummy snacks. The hosts were so nice and crowd had great energy. We will be recommending to all our friends coming to NYC!

Good times for a decent price. You can get tickets last minute rather inexpensive and they do a nice job. It’s funny improv. About an hour so it’s not real long which is nice if you want a little fun laugh
