What travellers are saying
- SteveAlison TPickering, Canada4 contributionsVery beautiful, modestly priced treasures. Loved it! Had beautiful Easter decorations and other things. Bought a beautiful jeweled hand bag. The only difficulty would be over spending as it was so hard to not purchase so many lovely things.Written 18 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. At this time they had a small boutique within the store which featured a tempting selection of antique jewellery. On one occasion I happened to meet one of the owners who introduced me to the Greenwich village location. Here, on East 12th Street, in an impressive building, Kentshire has eight floors dedicated to a large collection of antique furniture, accessories for the home and of course, antique jewellery. I love browsing to discover what new pieces have joined the galleries; there is no pressure to buy, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. I am not their best customer, having only purchased a couple of treasured items of jewellery but their warm welcome always makes me want to return.Written 28 October 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Oldaussie53Gold Coast, Australia13 contributionsIf you like collecting or just looking at signs and other assorted items that would hav been found in mechanics workshops and garages dating from approx 1950s and later, then this place is worth a look when you visit New York. This is one of those places you can spend an hour or more and if prepared to 'dig' find sonethng you think is worth having. Word of warning here, this may not happen until your 3rd or more trip around the building. Friendly staff at main counter who will have a chat without being pushy about making a purchase.Written 29 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
