Harlem and The Bronx are a big contrast, while Queens and Coney Island are different again. My favourite was the DUMBO views in Brooklyn. I was concerned that it might just be a drive by tour, but there were many stops along the way.
It was all brought to life by our brilliant and entertaining guide Jorge.

But it was explained to me that I was supposed to upload a digital app. The bus was empty. It was a waste. The guide was graciously enough to offer the night tour which was probably better. But we didn't have time. Please please read reviews before committing to the out they do not believe in refunds. Service is not what it used to be. I'm a believer that you get what you pay for and if I paid for a service I should be accommodated. I didn’t come on a bus to listen to music, I wanted to hear about the city and what I was seeing. The downtown portion was much better than the uptown. The Uptown portion was horrible. Not enough stops! Worse part was a VERY RUDE Big Bus employee got on the bus and told us we should get off because it was the end of the tour. We couldn’t understand him because he was facing the back of the bus and we were sitting at the front so asked him to tell us what was going on. He got very rude, almost to the point of ugliness. Didn’t ruin the tour but he really shouldn’t be working in customer service. I don’t think we actually got the tour we paid for…they had us switch buses early on. We covered a lot of ground if that is your goal, but I really wouldn’t call it a tour. - Emily M1 contributionOK first of all, we contacted this tour company after reading others reviews. We spoke with Sheldon, who responded immediately, was engaging and funny, as well as super helpful in arranging our family’s tour of NYC.
We were picked up by our tour guide Chris and our driver G. I must say, I felt like we were given the dream team as they were both awesome! G expertly drove us all around, and that is no easy feat and itself. Chris imparted so much information and humor that even our teenage kids were engaged. Our expectations were exceeded as we were able to see and learn so much of the past and present history of this amazing city! In addition, they were more than happy to customize our tour to accommodate special requests; such as getting the best bagel and authentic NYC pizza slice… and even a stop at the NBA store for our kids!
Thank you so much for the great experience and memories from this city tour! She was full of energy (unlike her tired passengers!) and told us many things about NY and particularly New Jersey as we spent all evening across the Hudson to enjoy the skyline as night fell and lights changed.
