The blue route has few buses and is very congested so alot of time is wasted in traffic. An interesting way to see many of new york's attractions for the first time. Seasoned travellers will find the subway and buses a more efficient use of time. It was early in our holiday to NY but it gave us (wife and I) a sense of the city which we otherwise wouldn’t get in such a short time.
Our tour guide, Jorge, was brilliant! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny! One could tell he knew his stuff, he had facts and stories about everything, all told with a great sense of humour and he kept us laughing.
We also had incredible stops for photos and sightseeing along the way, be it at Yankee Stadium, a bodega, the Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre and Coney Island amongst others.
Jose, our driver, was also great. How he managed that huge bus in some really tight spaces I don’t know but he was cool, calm, collected throughout.

4hrs covers a fair amount, 6hrs would probably be the better way to go, but the 4hrs is great value.

Jim was an amazing guide and kept sharing stories and information throughout the tour. He was highly accommodating for all guests and made sure everyone enjoyed the tour. Loved the stops to see some of the familiar and new highlights of the area. I'd not heard of High Line Park - but what a cool piece of green space in the city!
After a short time, it was as if we all had a new friend in NYC - strangers? fugedaboudid! 😁
And throughout it all, Juan guided us safely through the streets in the bus - avoiding traffic snares and keeping us close to our stops!

Picked up early 6am as takes 4 hours to Washington, which was actually fine, comfortable coach with aircon & a toilet if needed.
Stopped after 2 hours at a service station with plenty of food options for breakfast.
Juanita our guide and Mario our driver. Both excellent.
Juanita is so knowledgeable and talked us through everything. We had booked this trip especially for Arlington cemetery as we have a relatives headstone we wanted to visit. We explained this to Juanita who ensured we were able to go off on our own to visit privately.
The rest of the tour was really good, we thoroughly enjoyed it, Juanita was more than happy to take photos for us. We got to see all the main sites and got some free time towards the end to visit a choice of museums or head off to grab some food. We stopped again on way home at another service station. Was a long but great day. Would recommend, it’s also nice to have a day away from the chaos on NYC. The little surprise stop when we got back to NYC was fantastic….. won’t spoil it for you, but it’s so worth it. It was a long day and we didn't have a lot of time at the stops but we knew what we signed up for so we had no issues. Our guide was Allan who was very friendly and insightful and he allowed us to maximise our time and experience at each venue and even gave us a little extra photo opportunity when we arrived back in NYC as the full moon sat low over the Manhattan skyline. Too many locations to list including the Ghostbusters fire house and the Friends apartment and many more.

I read reviews about people getting lost and not keeping up with the group...we stopped for an ice cream and walked at our own leisure. While there are many lights and people, it ain't times square...it's a couple of blocks of houses and if you can't find your way back to the bus, maybe New Mexico might be a better holiday destination fit than New York.
Steve was a fantastic host and the bus trip was relaxing and informative.
