As we were staying in Harlem, we walked over to Morningside Heights through the park and looked around the Columbia University campus, as well as Riverside Park on the waterfront.

This university is huge. Lots of buildings in this area are part of the university.

After a long exploration (admittedly without a map or guide), we went for dinner at Tom's Restaurant, apparently a student favourite.

I came by here to see a special exhibit of Stephen Sondheim's letters and work - it was well worth the trek to visit!

This downtown campus takes up a lot of the area with classrooms and dorms. It sets a flavor for the Washington Square and this part of the Village. Important institution.

HERE IS WHERE WE GO. !!!!! Why? Because my/our human people we will feel the under the exhibitions FANTASTIC RESOURCES of Arturo. WHO WAS Arturo? A Puerto Rican Black man! He resolved to get this history so we can unite. Stop fighting between the oppressed. LEARN more. RESEARCH beneath the exhibits. Make appointments. Delight in the microfiche and all the possibilities to follow YOUR choices about Black s . I DID and feel Paul Robeson, he and other communists of color : Claudia Jones..from Trinidad that the usa exploited and Banned. WE CAN BE INSPIRED!

For my LIttle 10 year old cousin. He delights in going to the "SHOP". TOYS in blackness. Books for babies. Oh Titi look here he said we can play this.

My wife participated in a week long educators seminar. I had the pleasure to share a couple of the sessions and a dinner with the class. The people at JTS are warm, inviting and awesome.

You'll only see worthwhile productions at this small theater located on East 4th Street, which is a schlep for many New Yorkers but the neighborhood's bounty of good restaurants ease the problems of the trip. "40 Years, 40 Stories" NYTW says about itself, reminding us of how persistently and long it's been producing good work. We saw the splendid Sing Street, and would willingly go again if tickets were readily available.
