The Rink at Rockefeller Center is an iconic venue in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The ice rink was founded in 1936 and opens every year during the winter season. It is in an incredible position within the Rockefeller Center complex. Whenever we were in the area of the rink it was always busy, unfortunately we didn't have the time to skate on the rink on our latest visit to New York. It is one of the highlights of the city and is situated between West 49th and West 50th Streets and a short walk from Times Square.

We really enjoyed our visit at RiseNY. It was on a weekday in the afternoon and it was almost empty. We used our Go City pass and had no issues. The first thing is the documentary film about NYC history with some really good effects. You end up feeling like you are in an actual NY subway. After that, you walk through the museum where there are lots of interesting facts to read and cool exhibits to see. You are rewarded at the end by going on a soaring journey over NYC using a simulator ride that makes you feel like you are actually flying around the city. You will also smell different scents and receive small splashes of water during the ride. It really was enjoyable and the whole experience took us less than 90 minutes to finish.

Great experience! We enjoyed playing the online game . I enjoyed these puzzles because they were innovative and challenging. The interface worked well and we were able to easily join two other players in different locations. I highly recommend it

While not enormous, the place certainly is a lot of fun. At a flat rate, you get to play games from different eras of pinball, and the machines are maintained quite well. The place is a little hot, so beware of heavy clothing.

Classic, historic indoor carousel - $3.50 per ride. Love the detailed carving on the horses & chariots and the ironwork on the decorative fencing. This is a nostalgic Central Park must for me, reminiscent of Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye.

I almost made this a three star review, but chose to go with four stars after my interaction with the staff and hearing more about their mission.

I expected a bit of a larger, more open space where I could cuddle with cats (with their consent of course). But this space was quite a bit smaller, and there were around 10 people in the space, all of them vying for the attention of a few cats. It was crowded and busy for my personal taste.

That’s not their fault. And the employees told me weekdays are much less hectic (I’m just not usually in the city on weekdays).

All of the employees are super nice, and you can tell this place prioritizes feline well-being above all else. They explained to me that their cats come from a cat rescue in Bowling Green, KY, which funnily enough, I live near. They told me they have almost a complete turnover of cats every two weeks. They have very careful adoption procedures in place to ensure the best placement for the cats.

Please note weekends are reservation only, weekdays it’s recommended, but not required. And there are rules. Vaccination, no shoes, don’t pick the cats up, don’t wake the cats up, etc.

This wasn’t my style, but I respect their mission and the employees are great reps for the organization.

We asked them to put the champions league match on and they did that. We told them we would order later on and we had drinks. They then let us order when we was hungry. They did everything we asked very attentive. Dave and busters arcade very busy though.

Came here specifically for the kitties and I've been to one other kitty cafe and this was a bit different. The space for the kitty cafe was split between an upper and lower room which weren't that large. When I arrived most of the kitties were napping, so...took a few for some to wake up. Sirena was a young kitten and I just so happened to get a toy that she loved, so I got to spend most of my time playing with her.

The number of people in the kitty section vs cats seemed to be skewed and most people didn't get to interact with the cats. I believe all of them were open for adoption and if I didn't already have a fur baby, Sirena would have come home with me.

Just be aware it may be hard to spend quality time with the kittes based on the number of people in the cafe already.

A Virtual Reality Arcade, a dozen or so 7 year old kids and two hours of INSANE FUN!!!

Mysun has been practicing his archery with the online VR game Quiver and was excited to show off his skills to his class mates! So we got nearly half of his classroom together and invited them all out for some futuristic fun!!

I was so impressed with the staff and their ability to manage and wrangle more than a dozen kids and keep them all happy.

I wanted to introduce VR to Mysun with hopes to inspire interest in programming, and I’m really happy we found this place!

After walking the High Line we popped into the Break Bar and Wrecking Club for a well deserved tincture

The barmaid wanted us to sign the disclaimer to smash our glasses

We explained we just wanted a dink and not to do the smashing

She was fine with that and the Break Bar Ale on draught was good

The girls had cocktails that were good and strong

We had a snack of Chicken Bites that were tasty

    Interesting bar to visit!
