This gorgeous park is located in the upper reaches of Manhattan and thus a bit less utilized than some of the other parks, but is no less amazing for it. There are plenty of walking paths, gardens, and history throughout the park, all of which contribute to a calm, serene outdoor experience. There's also an interesting nature sanctuary, and the entire park serves as a wildlife habitat for both birds and earthbound animals. The architecture in the park (benches and small structures) are consciously created and distributed throughout the park to add to the calming effects. The Cloisters, which are part of the Met, are also located in this park and are worth their own visit.
