The High Line is must to do in NYC. We joined it on the North-end just off W 30th at the famous pink tree. This experience exceeded our expectations even though the gardens are still recovering from the brutal NYC winter. The walkway is safe and clean. The surrounding commercial and residential apartments are surreal and a real treat for art and architecture lovers. We walked the entire High Line south which took less than 40 minutes with lots of stops for photo opps. There are very exit points along the way. We visited the Chelsea market (also recommended) and took the High Line back to and exited at the Bloomberg building.

This little man made island is definitely worth a visit. I was very impressed with what has been created and would love to attend a concert in the 85 person ampitheatre. So very, very cool!!!

Went last Spring and can't wait until the gardens reopen April 2024. The plants were colorful and vibrant when we went. This is a place where visitors and the local community can enjoy tranquil surroundings in the hectic hubbub of NYC. Check out their online event calendar for upcoming activities.

Wandering around the West Village and had one of the "locals " direct me to this little slice of natural beauty and peaceful contemplation. A number of short, but curved paths taking maximum advantage of the limited space. Lots of different flowers and bushes with many benches and seats. Lovely

I walked past this playground on my way to the bus stop. Nice and well maintained. Plenty of families with young children enjoying the chilly, brisk spring day. I would definitely take my kids here for play dates if we lived un the area.
